What do you marinade it with and what kind of fish do you use? I've only made fish tacos using left over fish.

Tomorrow we'll get a note from the pediatrician and then call CO and see if it works. My wife thinks she has an ear infection, which would make it VERY uncomfortable for flying and leave other pax tearing their ears out (from her crying).

Ask for ear drops (if the ped thinks she's old enough, not sure what the age for that is) if she does have an ear infection. It really does help and also helps for any discomfort for flying for any future bouts or if she is still getting over it.

Fun stuff. Just had to book a flight on a DL MD-80 and the only non-middle seat available is right in the back in the row that has a lovely view of the engine. At least it's a fairly short flight — ATL-MSY. CO just wanted way too much money for my usual flights to Louisiana this time.

You should try and get a bump if it is that full.

Remember how many seats DL completely blocks to assign later - the fact that there were middles still available plus the default blocked seats means the flight isn't horribly full at the moment. And one should always seek the VDB if there's schedule flexibility.

I am off for a nap, had a wonderful brunch and made a quick stop for some nice drinks for tonight on the way back, in the fridge now :D

There is a golf play off so I will let him take a short pause to see it.

Stanley was fine, but the market was just another tchotcke shopping experience, not what I enjoy.

What, you don't like shopping for knockoffs of dubious quality at 4 times the price that a local pays?

I'll second my advocacy for the jade market; there are lots of handicraft items with nary a polo pony in sight.

Today's adventure: leaving the house around 6:45 to play a church gig in Suffolk County, returning at 2:45. Probably more trouble than it was worth if it hadn't also been a personal favor of sorts, but I survived. :)

Sorry in advance for the multi-quoting...

A couple of my buddies in grad school LOVED going here (there's one semi-near campus), so I've been quite a few times...the most amusing was when we took a bunch of the new international guys (a Brazilian, Serbian, Malaysian and others).

Not surprising. My team is ranked #9 or 11, depending on which poll you look at. I'll be quite happy if we stay right there throughout the season (and also figure out a quarterback situation).

I finally made such a database about a month ago (just starting from 1/1/09) and it was quite tedious (especially because I have embarrassingly little experience with Excel) but in the end, useful. I had to fight for a bit with a couple of rogue missing EQMs but eventually figured it out.

My recipe uses a mixture of onions, garlic, lime and orange juices, cilantro, and olive oil. Half of that goes in the bottom of the dish, then the fish (usually use tilapia or something similar, sprinkled with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper), then the rest of the marinade on top. I then grill it when ready to make the tacos.

I was already thinking that. However, there's only one flight after it that day, and it's equally full. If I end up in a situation where they can't get me there that night, the bump won't be an option.

There was only one middle, and one aisle, available. That's it. Nothing more on the seat map.
