The other time they destroyed one of the car's speakers while fixing a window. We no longer take our car there. @:-)

That's nothing -- Our Volvo dealer once smashed the top of our car against the top of their lift. We got a loaner car and free b:rolleyes:dy work.

Same here. When I was a kid we did a lot of shopping out of town.

The trek out to LGA today for the *DO meeting was interesting. I got trapped in Queens on the F train for about 40 minutes. At least we had power and AC. Of course a dumb automated announcement played over and over and over telling us that we were waiting because there were trains in front of us. it turned out to be some sort of signal problem.

I would like to see pictures of 25,000 coins in someone's living room...

Strangely, that makes me feel better (though at least that's something you find out right away, not the next day with a kid in the back seat of the car). Still not taking the VW back to that dealer, though.

We didn't take pictures, but I suppose we should when we get more coins. I now know the tellers in one of my banks have to open all the boxes and put the rolls into bags. They're so nice in letting me deposit the unopened boxes. I'm going to make sure to open them all next time -- so they don't have to. That gives us coins to play with :p

There was a lovely straight crease across the r:rolleyes::rolleyes:f. We still take the car there. They're very good.

Somebody suggested that I bundle my cable, internet, DVR & phone. When I asked him if he ever has problems with Time Warner's cable, internet, DVD & phone service, he said, "If my cable goes out, so does my internet, DVD & phone."

I got my TiVo box as a gift, and the generous gift-giver included a lifetime subscription with it. As long as it's kickin', I am not payiing $10/month for a DVR through Time Warner. And as long as my phone works and my internet (usually) works......I'm just keeping my internet service with the phone company. I cannot imagine all four of them crapping out at once during an outage.

Night, b:rolleyes:x ... I need a sleep . <yawn> zzzzzzzzzzzz

Jason Whitlock is still employed because he draws attention. The day that stops, he's gone.

I'm finally all fixed up but for my wacky sleep patterns. That other thing which tends to happen thanks to pain medication resolved itself as well. ^

I was a Carter transition birth. Born 12 days after the election...but I was a late baby. I should have been born on Election Day.

We'll miss you, but totally understand!:( Hope that said surgery will result in less pain & a speedy recovery!^

Don't like the sound of that (says the person delaying disc replacement as long as possible).

In more positive physical news, I got racquetball again today. And I'm down another three pounds despite last weekend and a bunch of ceremonial functions with food. This places my BMI at 26.5, which is very exciting!

Good for you!^ Yikes on having to think about disc replacement!

I believe that WPVI in Philly is the only one with the groovy 70s theme music.

Thanks. I'm going to work my a$$ off to make sure I land the gig long-term. Then watch me quit as we move out of teh festering pit in a couple of years.

Oh, speaking of festering... today's official high in Houston - 100 degrees. The 16th day of the summer with 100 degrees or higher.
