The guy with his feet on the bulkhead in this trip report reminds me of my encounter coming back from ELP: http://www.airliners.net/aviation-fo...d.main/154140/

It depends what your goal is. If your goal is to get to DC you might as well take Acela, though the shuttle is probably fine if there's no weather. I don't like US's A319s (tight pitch) but for a shuttle flight it won't be that uncomfortable. Try to get seats 10A or F (I think those are the only Y seats with decent legroom on the plane.)

If your goal is just to keep your US account alive you can always buy a song at iTunes via the Dividend Miles shopping site.

No talk about motorcycles that I read. Maybe it's the fact that you were sleeping next to the sound of a truck engine-braking on the way down a 17% grade?

I need to be in the office before 10am. Acela means a 6am train. Even with the station a 15 minute walk from my house that is way too early for me. Delays are an afternoon/evening thing and I'll be taking Acela home that afternoon to avoid them (and to enjoy the Acela F ride :-:).

I suppose I could buy iTunes, though I don't have an iPod nor iTunes installed on my computer so that seems like more work than letting someone else buy me a plane ticket.

I liked this part of his report:

The woman next to me on this flight was such a diva. She ordered a glass of skim milk. When it arrived she said it was a tad too warm and wanted it chilled. No problem... Well when they brought it back it was now too cold. Poor Flight Attendant...
Sounds like a total

From the Conrad and Pacific Place, you can take the pedestrian tunnel (with one-way moveable sidewalks) to Three Pacific Place and come out of the ground there.

+ 1 on this
I don't know if you saw my post about Wollomolooo Steak House (rooftop bar) at The Hennessy in Wan Chai it is a great place to start out for drinks then eat somewhere else.

City Hall is still HK's most popular dim sum restaurant ( they are one of the ony ones that still do the carts) but it is very crowded.

Look for a used (aka CP:rolleyes:) one? :-:

My first choice is a brand new car given the fact that I keep my cars forever, but I have not ruled out a low-mileage CPO '08 TSX.

Yes, that does seem like more work. The only other alternative that comes to mind to keep your US account alive is to use FTD to send your wife flowers. ;)

In that case, the US shuttle seems like a decent idea. I say this as someone who goes out of his way to avoid US despite flying out of one of their hubs.

If they had opened on schedule, I would have gotten to stay there on my July 4 Trip.

Still there? I spent way too much money at mine today. Rear rotors are expensive. Everyone seemed to want to get oil changes or something today. People were sitting on the stairs and outside waiting when I got there to get mine which must me the waiting room was full. They had to retrieve my car from the gravel new car lot as the service lot was over flowing.

No, I'm back home now. Right after I posted that they buzzed me. Took less than 90 minutes today to get the repair done, so no complaints from me. Now, hopefully I won't have to drive all the way back up there next week. I do have a Briggs & Riley bag with a bum wheel in for repair at a place near the Honda dealer that should be ready next week, but my partner works somewhat close to there and promised to run by and pick it up for me when it's done.

I have yet to land a suite upgrade at a W. I kept hearing about all these great upgrades, but so far, my upgrade is usually one room class, to something like a Spectacular Room.
