Aaaannnndddd we're currently 1:10 behind schedule, chilling on the runway at IAH for up to another 45 mins, as of now. (This is CO 326 to BWI.)
What kind of weather ARE y'all having on the East Coast, anyway? Apparently the NYC airports just got shut down... |

Hi from IAH...
Do any of you experts know if there's a Chase ATM somewhere in Terminal C?

Not sure if there is one in C or not — I know of a Bank of America ATM in C, and a no-name bank one too. There is a Chase ATM in E, though — it's right across from the door to the Presidents Club, to the right of the Nestle Toll House store.

I believe there is one on the border of C/E and one may be over by the security checkpoint between the north/south of C.

You know we need a DO in a non public location so the rest of us can find out what went on in CRP and DC.

Doesn't need to be high end to be tasty! We both love southeast asian food and are looking for yummy non-touristy places to try. staying at the conrad. We found a nice Indian restaurant that I would recommend if the next morning we didnt read/hear on the tv about the drug raids in the neighborhood. We actually had dinner in the restaurant there and I felt it was reasonably priced but not basic food. ALso, the lobby lounge is very nice there but if there is a band make sure to show your room key as for two people there was a 3000 yen cover that we almost got charged. Also if you have executive lounge access for breakfast/ afternoon apps they have a concierge there that was very helpful. |

If you want a good sushi place in the Tsukiji market try Isonoya (http://www.wanderingaramean.com/2009...poisoning.html). WAY better than the tourist places, though you pay for it. I got out of there for JPY3000ish and considered myself lucky. Considering that the other stalls are in the JPY1500-2000 range in many cases the extra $20 is definitely worth it, though the scene is also less "dirty."
Not sure how it translates, but in Hiragana, the name is おかぬ |

And remember that each guest can bring 2 friends, which is how we got 8 people in from one room. Yeah, math wasn't that guys strong point.

I need to go to DC on Tuesday. I'm seriously considering flying the US Shuttle. I haven't flown on it in years and I need some activity to keep my US account active. Am I crazy for thinking this is the best way to accomplish that goal? It is on the A319 which isn't bad, and someone else is buying.

There is no easy way to get there other than driving. You can either rent a car or take the Metro and Washington Flyer bus (or the Metro bus that leaves from L'Enfant Plaza or Rosslyn) out to IAD and take a shuttle from IAD to Udvar Hazy. A cab will set you back about $50 each way. Renting is the easiest option other than a cab; the bus/Metro route to IAD plus the shuttle bus is the least expensive option but will be about 1.5 hours each way. Also keep in mind that the Washington Flyer bus is $18 roundtrip, plus another two dollars or so each way for the Metro. The Metro bus from L'Enfant or Rosslyn to IAD definitely is the least expensive way to get out there. I think it is only $4 or thereabouts.
I think the Metro bus from L'Enfant sounds like it is the easiest. We have the all day metro pass, is that good for the bus also? |
