What kind of weather ARE y'all having on the East Coast, anyway? Apparently the NYC airports just got shut down...

Skies are black in central jersey with distant thunder. The weekend is expected to be a wash out due to Bill keeping the soup over D.C to Boston.

I have permission to be on FT for the sole purpose of finding out the best way to get to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center for tomorrow.

Any suggestions?

Unless they have a shuttle from place you have to drive there. Well worth the trip.

Do any of you experts know if there's a Chase ATM somewhere in Terminal C?

Not sure if there is one in C or not — I know of a Bank of America ATM in C, and a no-name bank one too. There is a Chase ATM in E, though — it's right across from the door to the Presidents Club, to the right of the Nestle Toll House store.

I believe there is one on the border of C/E and one may be over by the security checkpoint between the north/south of C.

I can confirm the above about the ATMs. I think Wells Fargo was booted out in favor of Chase as they are partners with CO.

You know we need a DO in a non public location so the rest of us can find out what went on in CRP and DC.

Lets just say some of the details leaked out/ came to the surface in DC and I will say you really don't want to know. This information was shared before the second drink stop but after bottomless Bolinis! so the acuracy I feel is pretty good.

Doesn't need to be high end to be tasty! We both love southeast asian food and are looking for yummy non-touristy places to try. staying at the conrad.

The Conrad will spoil you! It is a great hotel there in Tokyo.

We found a nice Indian restaurant that I would recommend if the next morning we didnt read/hear on the tv about the drug raids in the neighborhood. We actually had dinner in the restaurant there and I felt it was reasonably priced but not basic food. ALso, the lobby lounge is very nice there but if there is a band make sure to show your room key as for two people there was a 3000 yen cover that we almost got charged.

Also if you have executive lounge access for breakfast/ afternoon apps they have a concierge there that was very helpful.

If you want a good sushi place in the Tsukiji market try Isonoya (http://www.wanderingaramean.com/2009...poisoning.html). WAY better than the tourist places, though you pay for it. I got out of there for JPY3000ish and considered myself lucky. Considering that the other stalls are in the JPY1500-2000 range in many cases the extra $20 is definitely worth it, though the scene is also less "dirty."

I also ate at a random sushi place at Tsukiji 2 weeks ago. I wasn't going to wait in line with all the tourists for the more popular shops, and in fact it was better this way. Our sushi set was ¥3,500 and it was awesome. And unlike at the ones with long lines where they take your order before hand while still outside and then just give you the whole set once you sit down, at our place, the sushi chef would make and give us the sushi piece by piece.

Not sure how it translates, but in Hiragana, the name is おかぬ

It is well worth it. While your there can you take a picture of the Piper Cub with me in front as that was the second aircraft that I flew in when I was about 1.5 years old. I don't really remember that experience. I think that may be a reason for my love of being in the air today.

There is no easy way to get there other than driving. You can either rent a car or take the Metro and Washington Flyer bus (or the Metro bus that leaves from L'Enfant Plaza or Rosslyn) out to IAD and take a shuttle from IAD to Udvar Hazy. A cab will set you back about $50 each way. Renting is the easiest option other than a cab; the bus/Metro route to IAD plus the shuttle bus is the least expensive option but will be about 1.5 hours each way. Also keep in mind that the Washington Flyer bus is $18 roundtrip, plus another two dollars or so each way for the Metro. The Metro bus from L'Enfant or Rosslyn to IAD definitely is the least expensive way to get out there. I think it is only $4 or thereabouts.

I need to go to DC on Tuesday. I'm seriously considering flying the US Shuttle. I haven't flown on it in years and I need some activity to keep my US account active. Am I crazy for thinking this is the best way to accomplish that goal? It is on the A319 which isn't bad, and someone else is buying.

Thanks for teh detailed info. ^

I think the Metro bus from L'Enfant sounds like it is the easiest. We have the all day metro pass, is that good for the bus also?
