I would make it a weekend so it would be easier for all. Something fun Friday evening, an event of some sort on Saturday, a nice dinner on Saturday night (maybe another wine dinner - that was a ton of fun), and the day game on Sunday.

The Indians home weekends in July and August are as follows:

July 4-5 (vs. Oakland) - I assume this isn't a great choice due to the holiday
July 18-19 (vs. Seattle)
Aug 1-2 (vs. Detroit)
Aug 22-23 (vs. Seattle)

Personally, I would strongly prefer 7/18-19 - I'm in HHI during the third weekend and the other two are just more difficult - but MBM3, it's your show...

Haha - I'm not going to try and top ALCO...

I would like to try and hit HKG (might as well go big...) for a long weekend before I get married. If I pull that off, FTers would be welcome.

Are your friends (besides us) willing to fork out the $ to do that? I am having mine in New Orleans next weekend and most of my loser friends dont even have enough money to fork out $100 a/i for the hotel for 2 nights. I even offered to pay as I make substantially more than them (most of them are still with moma nd dad delivering pizza's for a living) but then they said they didnt have enough $ for when they got there. What loser's. There will be 8 of us but that includes people that arnt even in the wedding. Trust me, when these guys get married I will remember who came and who didnt.

If any of you guys/gals are in MSY for memorial weekend you are more than welcome to join us.:D

Wow, what age group is this?
The NJ DO is not the cheapest thing around but a large group is going :)

MSY is too short to fly and too long to drive for me, in Texas....I'd not pay to fly there myself.

I know people in their 30's and 40's who make six figures and cry when I mention trips. They then get all pissy with me that I don't ask them anymore when I go on trips or I do ask and they go nuts on the cost. I usually respond with "The airfare and hotel cost more than $1." You really should hear them go off about my weekend trips to the UK and my recent trip to HNL.

My best man and 2 groomsmen are actually all family (2 of which are out of state) so any sort of "bachelor party" would just be a small local affair (probably a golf outing + dinner) when they come in to town for the wedding. I'm not much of a partier, so low key is good. ^

HKG would just be a last big trip before getting married.

24-26. My NYC friends thought it was too expensive @ $300 r/t + hotel (they dont have great jobs either). There is no excuse for the others not to come. They are carpooling from Houston and I expect them not to spend but about $250-300 the entire weekend. If it were up to me I'd tell them dont bother showing up to the wedding with their dates and families that cost us $110/head but the fiancee said we have to have an equal number of groomsmen per bridesmaid.

I plan on telling the ones that arnt coming next weekend they are not allowed to bring a date unless it is a serious girlfriend, of which none of them have.

26 is good, I got a mail today from CO celebrating my 4th year anniversary as a OnePass Member, if only my other flights were on it, before I was a member and understood the whole process :D Actually I am 25 now, but by Sept will be 26.
