For those who have not heard and travel to LBB often, the vote to make it a wet county has passed. Give it about a month for businesses to receive their TABC paperwork, but liquor, beer, and wine can now be sold in city limits.

and now the end of the season for Brothers and Sisters

I give the liquer stores on the strip two months before they are dried up and moved away. They will become a tourist site soon.

Oh no.... an OSU student has the Swine Flu.... I will have to head for high water and not talk, eat, drink, within a 1000 miles of this place. Also they had a women on TV just now that said she wasnt scared as "we have better medical care here in Tulsa than down in Mexico or south TX where the H1N1 is present." Hello lady, Houston, where at least one death happen was in a city with one of the best medical centers in country if not the world. Perhaps the women that lives accross the street from the elementary school needs to spend some time at school with her daughter.

I thought you had DVR?

Should have used my SlingBox for both.

When were you at Casa de Bag?

I've owned a Whirley Pops for more years than a lot of you all have been around. ^

High quality canola oil.

Orville Redenbacher corn or better.

Microwave corn is evil, the people that make it keep coming down with lung diseases.

Popcorn just comes in bags that you throw into the zapper. What is this canola oil stuff???

I feel the way about popcorn the way you feel about wine. :D

There's no microwave corn at our house.

Their cover of Maxine Nightingale's "Get Right Back to Where Started From" is a hoot.

Glad someone else likes them. Mrs. Phudnik found them on eMusic and knew that they would be right up my alley. I read somewhere that their song "Snakes in Hawaii" was used in "Snakes on a Plane II", to make this aviation-related.

And while I'm making music recommendations, try The Broken West's first record "I Can't Go On, I'll Go On" (don't like the second one as much).

Meh. It's interesting to see how the food translates. Our guide in Japan suggested Denny's to us in all seriousness and said that it is not at all like home and would be an interesting experience. We passed, but did end up at a McDonald's during the trip.

I don't know how many McDonald's you would have to go to in the US to get a tray arranged that orderly. :D

Funny story is that we're such McDs newbs that we got the Cinnamon Melts because they were 'new,' only to find out from family that they've been here for year. :o Well, it was new in Japan.

Hendrick's recommends a piece of cucumber for garnish. I've never tried it as I  cucumbers.

Ever since I read Alton Brown's recipe for microwave popcorn I've never bought bag popcorn. All you to make microwave popcorn at home are the kernels, a brown paper bag, two staples and a microwave. I've done it many dozens of times. The only thing it doesn't have is the fake butter flav:rolleyes:r.

(about nuking metal staples, their mass is so small that two don't make a difference, but AB doesn't recommend more than 2. When you staple the bag, make sure they're both at opposite end of the top near flush with each edge).
