Kill me now. I was DEAD TIRED and couldn't decide whether to try and stay awake so as to not miss my stop and end up stranded in Trenton or to approximate arrival time, set my phone alarm, and attempt to get 45-ish minutes of sleep (which is not very easy/comfortable on those trains). It was definitely a :rolleyes: - :rolleyes: situation.

There is something about that trip from New Brunswick to PJC will put anyone to sleep. There's one conductor who goes "Wakey Wakey. Time to wake up." as you approach Princeton Jct. He also tells people not to expect their friends to wake you up as they might fall a sleep too.

ATL-CLE, the flight is Y1 (-2 actual) with the two flights after zeroed out.

The fare is still there ($320 a/i same day turn) but it is only ~4200 miles r/t or ~3.8cpm AFTER doubling. Add in costs to/from EWR at off hours and it doesn't seem like there is really good value there. Another $50-75 off and I would have done it.

That does look really nice. I like the small control screen and the larger viewing screen as well.

Falling asleep on a train and missing my stop has got to be one of my bigger travel-related paranoias. It began the summer after HS when I was on a train by myself from London to Buxton, where I had never been before...it was about a 3 hour trip and I was jet-lagged and definitely quite worried about ending up in some random corner of the country. :)

Anyone here have ExpertFlyer? I think I'll need to check LX Availability once July rolls around (once I know the Significant Otter's work/vacation schedule).

As for LH. Granted, the seat isn't the most modern, but I found it to be very soft and easy to sleep in. The OP of the Trip Report hinted that LH will be adopting a similar seat to the new LH seat, but who knows whether such rumor is reliable. Then again, I doubt LH would roll-out a second-rate new F product once it does so.
