Did anyone ask CO Insider if he would like to join AM2? I do not know if he has time to read the box, but it would seem right up his alley to play.

I'm throwing the  flag! It was linked earlier in the day yesterday in the box.:eek::rolleyes:

Being that so many people seem happy to watch a highly compressed analog signal stretched to 16:9, they won't notice the difference.

As much as Comcast annoys me I can't recall recently when I have seen compression artifacts, either on live TV or saved shows on the DVR.

I've only been in two hotel rooms that had the correct aspect ration and they were both in the UK this year. Never had it correct in the US. :td:

I was at a H:rolleyes:liday Inn that had flat screen TV's, but good old coaxial cable providing the input. Why bother?

I was thinking about that last night when we were discussing the options with Mike. CO Insider likely has no clue who I am, but those of you whom he knows better should send him an invite. I'm sure Mike would have no problem adding him to the list.

But I do wonder how fast he will see the flaws in the game's logic, some of which are huge, since he helps run an actual airline.

On the other hand, would you want to play a game about your job? @:-):D:rolleyes:

The game does have logic flaws, but most gamers would tell you that realism != fun.

I agree in principle, but there are some flaws that actually ruin the fun, at least for me. Such as streamlining your fleet by adding efficient jet aircraft and removing prop aircraft will actually make your airline value decrease simply because you removed aircraft. Moreover, alliances mean only as much as the members allow them to mean. There is no penalty for crushing routes that are strongholds of other members of your alliance; instead, that is rewarded with additional profit. There is no incentive to cooperate with one another. Hopefully those are things that will get better as the game matures.

I think what made this so bad, myself included, as we quickly ran out of places to grow.

I think our pilot is lost. We just spent 20 minutes taxiing around iah.

I've done that a few times, leaving from A and taking off at the other end of the airport at 5mph you don't get anywhere fast.

:)

Have you taxied from the far runway at DTW? Sometimes I think it is short if I drive from CLE!

:)

I just tossed a couple of my fleet workhorses up for sale. The ATR42s have amazing range and are a great way to start new routes while awaiting jets.

Thankfully AM does not include passenger comfort in the overall value judgement!
