Is that the structure that one of the main streets that runs along the lake (John Nolan ?) goes under in a sort of Lower Wacker Drive imitation? If so, even from below, it's impressive.

Gotcha. Good location to be - I've stayed at the Hilton which is adjacent to Monona Terrace - nice views of the lake, and short walk to the Capitol area, where there's some decent eats. UW campus is just a few blocks further.

We attempted to explain some of the logistics but the entire weekend was a bit too much for him to grasp, that or the tux cut off the blood flow to his knoggin

Apparently, as the FAs are just falling all over him. I guess that is why I can not get a drink.

That is the one. Frank Lloyd Wright did the design for the center, IIRC, although it took a long time for Madison to get around to building it.
