I'm getting extra time at home today, thanks to weather at IAH. My flight is delayed at least an hour due to the fact the inbound aircraft has been stuck on the ground at IAH. What's going on down there?

Random thunderstorms popping up everywhere. Typical Texas summer.

The thunderstorms are fairly strong.

I booked the airfare to Sydney. In order to abuse the SkyTeam USA DEQM promotion to no end, I'm biting the bullet and routing through JFK. 41,000+ EQM, 66,000+ RDM before selecting my two diamond tier options.

Looks like it on radar. IAH appears to have cleared up but ATC is apparently still a mess. At one point the airport was clear but strong storms had IAH in a ring about 20-30 miles out in nearly all directions. That would seriously screw up the normal approach and departure patterns.

That's one nice thing about working from home today. I was able to mute the call while I did dishes and other chores. And I didn't have to change my schedule to accommodate it.

Cool. I certainly put my CO Plat/Star Gold number at the top of the letter, so we'll see where it all goes. I explicitly mentioned that under the circumstances, a systemwide voucher of substantial value is appropriate.

Hartmann and sdm1130, did you see the latest schedule changes on our DCA-IAH-ONT run? Its not bad but puts us in ONT for a few hours more than we did have - with no lounge :td:

*Sigh*. I usually get to take these from home and come in later in the day as a result, but not on this particular series. Too many consecutive days to keep track of. :rolleyes:
