I don't know. I will discuss with The Otter One next week on what I should do ;)!!!!

My partner is flying to DTW tomorrow just for the day on DL. This morning we checked him in online for his outbound trip. It's now time we should be able to check him in for the return. However, it must be pretty retarded of me to expect DL to work like CO and allow you to check in online for the return trip when the outbound trip hasn't been flown. No such luck.

Even NW used to let you do this. DL's website sucks.

Love that you can do this on CO!

Good evening everyone, I have another question that I didn't think deserved me starting a thread so I figured I would ask here...

I e-mail WECARE a couple weeks ago after a canceled flight. I'd never experienced one before so I was unsure if I could ask for any compensation. I'd originally asked in LIM and they told me to contact customer service.

CO responded to me tonight and didn't offer anything other than "thanks for contacting us" and said that the corporate office was investigating the issue and I would be contacted "by mail in the near future".

Is that a blow-off? No miles were deposited into my account. Is it possible that they will mail a voucher?

I'm a newbie in the frequent flier world, so excuse the dumb question.

I agree with ALCO that something may be coming via USPS. Give it time. Sounds like there is a serious issue here.

Been there too many times! Love it still though!

If you don't hear anything from CO by mail within a reasonable time, escalate by contacting CO Insider via PM. A meal voucher is insufficient compensation for a 24 hour delay caused by MX.

Actually asked Scott about this and he said that is the compensation.

Sounds about right!

Speaking of yummeh, Blue Bell is on sale for $4.99 at Kroger (at least here in Tennessee).

Will have to check into that upon my return!

HMMMM!! Perhaps I have an emergency to be somewhere! Can't believe I drove to KY today. In fact, this marks the first time that I have been to a state via car but not via airplane now.

Yeah, I hear you. At least everyone has a place to come stay if they need it. Air mattresses as far as the eye can see around the house. :)

I think he has better places inland to take refuge at! ;)

Had a nice wine tonight, made an educated guess at it!!

Although this is a nice Shiraz as well!

I forget if I ever posted this. This is the picture of the *A overnight kit that my Aunt got in PRG.

Night, Box. Been home about 10 minutes and I'm not even going to pretend that staying awake is a good idea.

ssullivan Jun 20, 2010 10:10 pm

I really should get to bed. We have flights at 6:15 and 8:20 AM tomorrow morning, so it's going to be an early one. Fortunately the other half is the one with the flight at 6:15 AM, but I need to be out of here by 6:30 or so.

Mondays with this client are really going to start to suck the next few months, as I'm going to have to start being on site with them Monday afternoon-all day Thursday, as opposed to Tuesday-Thursday. I may even have to start working with them Friday mornings as well to get this project back on schedule, since it has fallen a little behind.

Lots of little clean-up office work before Tuesday's flight to EDI. A couple of dinners with friends there before heading to LSI in the Shetlands where we will run into sbm12 and spouse. Since he will be there, I will cede the photography work to him since he is much, much better at it than I am.

This will be our fourth trip to the Scottish Islands and enduring Loganair is worth the destinations. I will be interested in his reaction to an airline that frequently makes the likes of ASA or SkyWest look professional.

Then back to GLA on Sunday afternoon for more dinners and NY on Tuesday afternoon. I do not expect to be able to keep up with The Box over that weekend but I think that on the weekdays I will have free internet access in the rooms both in EDI and GLA.

Scott6067, I can't quote your multiquote as it goes against pwp creed; but I believe the compensation for mx is higher than a meal (over 4 hours).

Oh, good morning box :)

I've missed being here. I feel out of touch and disconnected. I'm back . . .

Perhaps my situation was slightly different too. I was flying SMF-IAH-MEM. As we taxied out at SMF we went slowly and once on the runway we diverted off and back to the gate. Taught my seat mate about getting protected on the next flight. We sat on the plane at the gate for about 1 to 1.5 hours while the problem was fixed.

Once we got to IAH, I had missed the last flight out so was rebooked the next morning into MEM. Was originally at the standard hotel on the beltway that I had heard many complain about so ask in the PC to be moved to the Marriot which they were able to do. Ended up having dinner with SSullivan. So the overnight was not at the city of the mecanhical but at the connection city. I asked about if this was compensatable but was told no it wasn't as I was given room and food voucher.

They thought it was a terrorist attack, with the strange smell of the fumes. Scary. 19 in the hospital. Goes without saying, she's going to ORD first thing tomorrow AM.
