Has anyone been to Kruger National Park? Is it worth a visit?

I haven't been, but to answer your question, probably.

Nice. Mine is going to run $200 unless I can find a doc in my insurance plan that offers it. Out of plan has zero reimbursement.

Last time that we got them we found the place near EWR that was used by all of the airline personnel and it was much less expensive than that. It was about 10 years ago (now expired) and when I get to the office I will look for the cards and get the number. Then we can see if it is still in operation.

Believe it or not, IIRC I was told about it by a CO pilot with whom I was waiting at a gate at the airport.

IIRC, COFlyerCLE did a safari. Forget exactly where he went, but it might have been Kruger. He raved about it.

I know I got a yellow fever shot for my 2004 deployment to Qatar. I should have a few years of DoD-supported goodness left.

CO sez not so many people have been enjoying the high fares lately, but the drop in the Euro has sparked travel across the pond.

Mackieman Jun 21, 2010 8:27 am

I would like a nap.

Instead, I get a c:rolleyes:nference call.

That could be interesting. Of course, by the time I add in transit costs I'd be quite close to getting back to the point I'm at now, I bet. I found a place who can do it tomorrow for $175 a/i. That's not horrible for a 10-year window, I suppose.

I'll be back to you in about a half hour if I have anything that will help.

Meanwhile, this sport is has so much about it that is bogus that I cannot watch much more. The Swiss guy tapped the Chilean guy on the side of the head who then threw up his arms and went down in agony. Instead of getting an Academy Award, he got his penalty kick. Bogus.

And the d*mn European players have tried to bring the same crap into hockey although it is not very often that something as important and game changing as a soccer penalty kick will be invoked since the NHL refs are finally looking for the dives and the play acting. The refs in soccer seem oblivious.

Have you checked out pharmacies (many grocery stores, for example, provide vaccines in their pharmacy dept)?

Trustguy Jun 21, 2010 8:49 am

Good morning Box. I am sleepy this morning.

The place that we used is Concentra Medical Center, 595 Division Avenue, Elizabeth phone 908-289-5646. I called, they are still there, and charge $125 for a yellow fever shot by appointment. They are so close to EWR that it is a chip shot the next time you have a trip.

McCartney goofed in his piece on the A380. It's not the only Airbus jet that has a tail camera. The 340-600 has one as well; not sure about the 200/300/500.

I don't think soccer refs are oblivious. They are more naive than anything...they really believe that these guys are in agony. Doubtless there are real injuries on the soccer pitch, but this kind of latitude and benefit of doubt is really dumb.
