I fail to understand why this must be done at the airport and why it can't be an automated process tied to check-in or something.
I agree with you here!^

Good stuff. ^

Hadn't heard this rumor. I would imagine such a rumor would induce apoplexy in quite a few people.

And I would pay to watch their reactions.

Some idiot in the UA forum is asking about an appropriate level of compensation for a fuel stop...when he booked a BOS-LAX nonstop. He's asking for compensation despite that he removed himself from the flight and connected in IAD.

I suppose an appropriate level of compensation for a fuel stop would be, hmmm, impacting the ground not at LAX but somewhere in the high elevations of the Rockies. This is what we have to look forward to.

Just a heads up that you're talkin' about a friday in the summer, here -- traffic could be quite  going from PHL to ACY!

The Boston Celtics plane to LAX had to stop in PHX, maybe Paul Pierce needs compensation as well.

Indeed, but as long as he goes straight there from the airport he should be good to go. The rush leaving Center City on summer Fridays starts about 3:30, and the weekend after a holiday weekend (spoken from experience) is usually slow.

I appreciate quality as much as the next guy, but saying something is organic so you can charge more for it when someone decided it would be cool to .......ize the word, "organic" to make it mean, "does not contain extra junk so we can charge more" except that it really means, "came from a once-living organism."

But I'm not bitter. ;)

Somehow I agree w/ you. Chipotle uses "free range" beef, pork, poultry... but doesn't shout about it. You pay a little more, but it does taste very good.

Also, since we're talking about June & not July/August -- maybe it really won't be bad at all!^

It makes me wonder if I should demand compensation for my diversion on the way to work this morning due to traffic.

I'd give it a shot, who are you thinking from?

I'm sure BA's management is to blame for the traffic somehow. Otherwise Canada since when in doubt everything is their fault.
