Actually, that's not true. Many more men want to be marines than can make it. I have the utmost respect for them, but my point was that there are plenty of jobs, important ones, for lesser mortals as well.

Is there any way to see the status of the R fare bucket (which is, from your description, equivalent to NF on UA)? Neither KVSTool nor SeatCounter seems to include it... is CO not transparent about current upgrade space?

Still can't find any sub $500 airfare for any weekend trip. I even plugged in LAS in august since no one in their right mind would go there in the summer.

Nothing public. And apparently there hasn't been enough demand for KVS to figure out how to screen-scrape co.com like he does for the UA inventory so it isn't out there at all.

Ahh, that's too bad. Does calling generally work, or do the agents not give out the info either?

Praying to the BUMP gods for 732 tonight.

Decent chance though there is one seat for sale still.

Hooray, CUPS is now running. Let's see if Mrs. Mackie's XP-based laptop will talk to it.

Afternoon, Box.

I'm a good son - I'm most likely going to have leftover SWUs at the end of the year (on account of not getting on a plane at all), so I just upgraded my parents on their Hawaii trip this summer.

I'll drive to Pittsburgh before spending that kind of money to go there.

Oh look, the oven call Phoenix is sub $500. I wonder if they are having any tourisim down turn in that state?

You can search for upgradable seats on co.com to see if there is inventory. There is a check-box on the advanced search screen. That's generally easier than calling in and asking for the upgrade. Also, once waitlisted things should be pretty automatic, though there is a recent thread out there about someone who wasn't cleared when the inventory opened up.
