CONGRATS WOW, NICE didn't realize you'd been flying that much already this year I'm only at about 34K Would love to know how they pulled that off, has never worked for me. But that sealed the deal for them Yea, i had all these booked and had to get them flown. I know that sounds like I was tourtured but I have been busy trying to get into a new job and this has just added stress to that work. That upgrade on Amazing Race was very interesting. I dont think United wanted the situation covered on the air and I am sure that the crew was given a training after UA Executives saw that footage. SSullivan - I understand the issues of packing and moving all too well!! I dont have anything to do with my move and I am stressed over my stuff getting here. I think that a lot has to do with the fact that it will arrive on either Weds or Thurs both days that I work and wont have a lot of time to deal with stuff coming in. UGH!! |

I'm guessing in their backend, two things normally happen:
1) @user1 sends follow request to @user2. If approved, @user1 sees @user2's tweets (and most people automatically accept follows) 2) When @user2 approves the request, they're added to @user2's followers list. What's happening, I think, is that #2 is happening by itself. If @user1 never requested to follow @user2, and @user2 sent a bogus "accept", @user1 just shows up in the "following" list, without actually following @user2, because #1 never happened. |

Trying not to panic about this move…
Taking deep breaths. Deep breaths. Lots of them. I swear, I'm never going to get everything done today. I went through a very similar panic in the last days/weeks before the move from BTR to here...it was almost paralyzing at some times. Finally, what it took was a friend coming over, holding up one item at a time, and saying "PACK OR TOSS" and then, if the former, in a box it went. Still wretched, though. OK, off to Philly I go... |
OMG --- Just got an email from my moving company!! The cost for moving is now estimated at 4100 vs 2800!! Well, I guess I am back to moving myself next time. UGH!!!:mad::mad:

I seems I'm going to have to make a giant decision in a couple of days. Last week's interview did go well. They are going to give me an offer later this week. Crap that means I'm going to have to choose between current position FT and that one. Both have pluses and minues.

I have relocated myself to the LAX AC. I'm not looking forward to wedging myself into a RJ.

Yes, but no one is irreplaceable. Much like the brick, the boss does not (really) love you back. He/she will get over it. I promise.
With that said, I've always had strong loyalties to people, especially those that give me a chance, so I find it hard to bail out. But sometimes you really have to focus on what works best for you. |

It will, though probably won't feel like it. Keep that deep breathing up! Best of luck on the move
I'm opting to get the glasses today. Not doing so means having to deal with a stop on Friday morning when we're trying to get out of town, and I've got a car full of stuff and three angry cats. |

Indeed; the brick analogy originated in a discussion about employment, wherein being loyal to your company was like being loyal to a brick, and the brick cared not for anyone but itself. If the brick lost need if you, you can rest assured that it would have no problem dispensing of you. Work should be a symbiotic relationship, where the employee gets what he needs from the employer because the employer gets what he needs from the employee. Loyalty doesn't enter into it.

*** I am so frustrated at my employer at the moment. I have "vested" stock, but the employer will not release the vested stock for several days after the vesting date because of their own, self-imposed payroll issues. F that. My employer wants me to work late like my butt is on fire to meet one of their ridiculous deadlines? Sure...I'll do that. Just as hard as you worked to get me my money after it was already vested and due to me. Jerks.:td::mad::td: If the stock price goes down between the vesting date and the day that the stock is actually released and distributed to me, who should I contact to get reimbursement for the amount that I lost due their rear-end dragging? |

Now that being said, I do hope once I have a full stable of employees under me they do not see me as a brick, that would be  |
