Our captain is the CO version of UA's Captain Flannigan. Just came around to chat with everyone up front and handed out his business card. Nice touch!

I would not expect that you'd lose time in the merger should you buy now for a 3-year duration. They'll almost certainly honor the expiry date of the account in whatever the new lounge program is called.

Your PM box is 90% full.

That's the one thing you won't be fearing for in Teh Pit. The powers that be, in their infinite wisdom, have allowed a proliferation of drinking establishments (one of the benefits of our no-zoning laws). I think it keeps the populace from rioting.

Yes, this move will finally give me the opportunity to play all year (I've played in SoFla summers, so I'll be able to handle playing in Houston summers)! ^ Now, I just need to find a patient golf buddy...

I'm willing to dust the cobwebs off my clubs (haven't played a lick in 4 years). You may have to be more patient than I. Perhaps an initial trip to the driving range is in order. :-:

My skills may improve after a few. I'm that bad.

Thanks, smb12 - that is pretty much what I was thinking as well. The investment has been well worth it to date.

Good morning Box. I have been stuck in our booth at the conference/convention here in LAS for most of yesterday and today. I have not consumed enough evening cocktails for this.

I just pulled the trigger on a LGA-PHL-CAK-PHL-EWR itin on US for next weekend. It's far from ideal, and there's not a WHOLE lot of wiggle room on getting to LGA for a 7:30 pm departure when I finish here at 3 pm, and it means leaving the house at 5:30 AM Sunday to drive to CAK, and as I said it's US*, but...it was the only thing that involved neither many hundreds of dollars or a 6 AM flight out of LGA or JFK. And if I have to look decent and make reunion small talk all day, I do NOT want to do it on a 3:15 am wakeup.

* = much as we all like to malign US, it will be a sad day indeed if they jump ship from *A because of all the small regional destinations that they (and DL, whom we used to have as a backup) serve. Fares to those places already tend to be quite pricey, and not even being able to get SOME meaningful EQMs for that money will hurt.

So here's something interesting.

I called CO last week and had my UA C segment changed to LH F. The agent reticketed it and said that it would be an extra 15k miles per person. She gave me the LH record locator and said that the reticket had gone through.

It's been a week almost now and no mileage has been deducted but I was able to select seats in LH F and the class on the record is O. However, the reward code is SB7-SF7 on the receipt.

Should I be worried?
