I feel completely confused and inadequate. It's amazing what starting a day off by realizing you screwed everything up will do for you.

Ugh. I've been there so many times. Sending lots of empathy your way that at least some of it will get cleared up by the end of the day!

The next UAer who pulls this "we're better than you" crap is getting the LOLbaby dropped on them, GS or not.

You poked the bear. The bear poked back.

Where in GNV are you going to be? I grew up there and :rolleyes:v spent some of his formative years there. The drive from JAX to center of town is 90 minutes, mostly on smaller back roads, but it isn't all that bad. CO has made the decision, however, to treat EWR-JAX as a business market with no competition in their pricing model. That means high fares unless you have the 3-day/Saturday minimum. Flying on US into GNV has actually become rather less expensive lately and I had my wife come in on a one-way a couple weeks back. It worked out rather well. If you're willing to make the schlep, there's also JetBlue from JFK.

CO used to offer B1900 service from TPA and MIA on occasion via Gulfstream (I've actually done the MIA route) but I believed it is dead now.

Client is on NW 43rd St in a complex called The Madison Center. Like most cities of its size, the brokerages all moved their offices from the downtown area out to swankier addresses 10-15 years ago. The last time I was there was in 2000, and now that you mention it, I think I did fly 3M from TPA.

Let it go. Karma is a ..... and it's clear that a number of the UA folks are still in denial.

As MBM3 said yesterday, we really need to take a high road. So I'm going to encourage everyone not to bash on the UA folks or their program. The reality is that none of us know what is coming or will happen and both sides can be just as surprised.

We have our own set of self-entitled folk, not anyone in the box, but both sides of crazies and normal folks.

Ehh, true. Us taking the high road has the side benefit of making the tools stand out even more.

Thought I was going to be late for a conference call, only to find I'm the first one on. Between the client calls and calls with my office, it's getting very confusing.

ConciergeMike May 4, 2010 2:05 pm

I'm going back to the civilized world where things are open past 9pm. This high road thing is going to be difficult...that kind of attitude angers me online and off as well.

Mine absolutely gets better as long as I sustain the right beer level. I tend to overthink my swing.

I have read this post three times and cannot stop laughing.
