The drive from JAX to center of town is 90 minutes, mostly on smaller back roads, but it isn't all that bad. CO has made the decision, however, to treat EWR-JAX as a business market with no competition in their pricing model. That means high fares unless you have the 3-day/Saturday minimum. Flying on US into GNV has actually become rather less expensive lately and I had my wife come in on a one-way a couple weeks back. It worked out rather well. If you're willing to make the schlep, there's also JetBlue from JFK.
CO used to offer B1900 service from TPA and MIA on occasion via Gulfstream (I've actually done the MIA route) but I believed it is dead now. |

As MBM3 said yesterday, we really need to take a high road. So I'm going to encourage everyone not to bash on the UA folks or their program. The reality is that none of us know what is coming or will happen and both sides can be just as surprised. We have our own set of self-entitled folk, not anyone in the box, but both sides of crazies and normal folks. |

Thought I was going to be late for a conference call, only to find I'm the first one on. Between the client calls and calls with my office, it's getting very confusing.

I'm going back to the civilized world where things are open past 9pm. This high road thing is going to be difficult...that kind of attitude angers me online and off as well.
