Good evening, Box.

Home from Chicago. Flight was 100% full, but no bumps - bugger.

I had the turkey sandwich and a packet of crisps on CO1174 ORD-EWR

Traveling with department chair tomorrow - no potential for actively-seeking bumps through selective SDC.

Congratulations!

As someone who worked through law school, I can appreciate the significance of this accomplishment.

Nice. That is one of the few Letterman bits I have ever found funny...Dave being the Taco Bell drive thru guy was hilarious too.

Heck, I can get on the train at one of the far terminii (like Kenosha, Wisconsin- 65 miles one-way!), and do a roundtrip for $15.

And if Kenosha, Wisconsin ever becomes the center of the universe we are screwed as a people. :D

We discovered the mistake at the Delaware border crossing.

Only missed it by 20-some miles. Not nearly as bad as the guy who called me when I worked at Tropicana who was looking for directions. Said he was on the Turnpike. I asked where on the Turnpike, and my right hand to God, this was his answer: "I came from Maryland and the numbers are getting bigger."

I have found no other reason to live in that area other than absence of state taxes. So long as you have the coin for private school since no state taxation equals horrific education, I guess there's redeeming value. All the guys that work for me tell me that the southern two of DE's three counties are called "Slower Lower". And I thought it was bad when I hand them car keys and they ask me if I want the car pulled up.

Night, Box. I have to mentally prepare myself for tomorrow, which will be long on activity and short on tips, or so I'm told.

I like DE, we have a branch of company there :D

The Canadian immigration officials were absolutely stunned that :-:anyone:-: would schedule a vacation there... in late November, no less. I got "interrogated" for about 30 minutes. I think the officer was just lonely.

Sounds like your officer transfer to Calgary when I went two years ago!

As far as I know we always seem to run this flight. It could be that the time has changed to before midnight for that Sunday, which would really make it Saturday.

Now that I work in baggage I don't care about outbounds, just the inbounds.

Edit: I don't have any details other than the start date. When US Air did the shuttle run they required a valid boarding pass so who knows.

This would actually be the sunday evening/monday morning one. Understand about the boarding pass. Perhaps I can con my way on the bus with the tought of going to the clubs over there!!

Attempt #1 at getting E+ seats: Fail

I'll have to try again at the gate.

It's pretty funny (or sad, I guess) how everyone in the SPG forum thread is complaining about the promotion. Isn't SPG giving away something free? They're complaining about free? I don't get it.

Yeah, it's pretty sad. Sure, the promo is a step back from what was offered last year (free night after 2 stays), but they're still giving something for "free". If someone doesn't like it, they should move on to another hotel program and not bash the SPG marketing group. :-:
