Never had a car engine fail (with the exception my VW microbus in the 70s but that doesn't count). Now I have to find another car, which I really hate. It is going to be a long weekend. Bummer

:( I also have a 2003 A4. The only thing I've had go wrong is the convertible top died on me last year. Believe it or not, it was a couple grand to fix it all up

Wow! Never heard of a Audi with an engine gone at 140K miles that was not modified. Are you going to stick w/ Audi? What is on your short list of cars? Going to go Japanese? BMW? MB? Caddy?

Hyundai???????

And no I am not the driver. :D

The *REAL* question is: when will the train in IAH run to terminal A? I know, I know, it's totally not your area of expertise or even your geographic region. Just griping a bit is all :p

I thought you were going to the party. Did the prospect of accountants wearing lampshades scare you away?

Yes it does. I remember see Andrea Mitchell at DCA. I had no idea just how bad her acne scars are.

Which means sometimes HDTV is a good thing, and other times not

Via you being elite, CO CC or something else? Yes same PNR should be.

Everyone on the same PNR gets the best benefit of all th pax on that PNR. If you split it things can get dicey.

Thanks everyone for your input. I was tied up in work for the past several hours and was off-line. However, that tractor looks real good right now ;).

I have given my problem some thought, but I am fortunate that I don't have to make a decision right away. I have a 16 year old Maxima with 164K miles on it with no problem other than rust. This car went through 3 teenage drivers with the bruises to prove it. I was going to bequeath this car to my youngest but I think might have to wait a bit.

I am intrigued by a diesel due to its simplicity and great gas mileage. I have considered the Mercedes but they do not import the C class, only the E class, and that car is way too large (I want something the size of the A4). I will look at a Jetta, but I fear it is another German car and have some trepidation about it's ability to last. I tend to drive my cars till they look like that tractor. I guess I am just going to have to look around. Thanks anyway.
