I thought you were going to the party. Did the prospect of accountants wearing lampshades scare you away?

They changed policy and didn't allow SO's this year (as of yesterday).

And lots of travel on semi-obscure carriers to semi-obscure places.

I have been to 8 out of the last 10 years worth of the parties. Perhaps I have consumed more than my share.

Already a bit over driving limit -- sorry, I totally forgot you were going to be here. Told GF that I would be loaded by time she gets home.

That, and the fact that it's the most boring city on the planet, and there's nothing else to do. :D

The Canadian immigration officials were absolutely stunned that :-:anyone:-: would schedule a vacation there... in late November, no less. I got "interrogated" for about 30 minutes. I think the officer was just lonely.

Buffalo wings in CA are not worthy of the name. I need an upstate NY fix.

My '86 Mercedes went 180K miles with no trouble and I now have a '95 BMW that runs like a top although it still is under 100K. If you take care of one of those things, they can run a very long time. Much longer than a Yankee Doodle or a Rising Sun chariot.

To add to the German accolades, my stepmom's 1984 Mercedes has 240k miles, and my dad's has 350k. Now, those cars are in vogue (according to estate people) due to fact that they are easily converted to biodiesel (no major computers).

I got a certified preowned BMW with the service package thru 2014. That is the way to go, IMHO.
