Finally had bread and pasta and vodka again tonight after a week off. SO much happier now. Had our regular waiter at my regular Italian restaurant. The bill reflected approximately half the alcohol consumed. The tip was quite generous in reflection of said fact. Being a regular certainly has its benefits. Oh, and the waiter started the conversation by mentioning that he saw the segment on NY1 about miles that had me in it. |

I agree I did miss my bread fix for the last week . However I did find a good brand of Slivovitz (plum brandy) which is Kosher for passover to satisfy my quest for a drink (its only 80 proof ) .
I cannot really complain about food for the week. We made some absolutely delicious meals. But still, no bread, pasta or rice is rough. I survive just fine, but it is definitely "work" to make it through. |
You know it's close to summer when you have a hankerin' for a cold beer!:D

EWR-ANU on the weekend specials. At $275 not a huge bargain, but 2x daily flights and way cheaper than the normal published fares. If I wasn't GEG'ing it up I'd be all over that.
ETA: Nevermind. I'm getting ANU confused with another island I was looking at earlier today. |
if anyone eats at Smokey Bones, here's $10 off a $20 purchase. Print two and do separate checks :)

I'm really hoping that my son moves on from his 'don't want to stay w/dad' phase -- I'm starting to feel a l'il stranded!
On the bright side, I've got my first free Hyatt night (in the current promo)!^ Due to 'diamond trial' & need to book stays -- I converted rest of the free nts earned in last promo - to points! |

I considered it, but Antigua hotels seem to be pretty pricey.

How does one get a Diamond Match/Trial/Challenge with Hyatt? I'm thinking of trying them out (made my 25 stays with SPG, am cleaning out my HHonors account soon, and like teh Hyatt promo).
