Dude, it's bad. It's even worse to New York. I cannot figure out why fares are so high right now out of Texas to places on the east coast, except that maybe the airlines are thinking they can catch some revenue off last minute Spring Break travelers.

And the CLE-EWR-PVG that CM mentioned.

EWR-IAH-EZE used to be the same flug (51), but it was changed recently to CO53 only IAH-EZE, there is no longer an EWR-IAH-EZE with teh same flight number.

ok it looks like US has refunded my ticket (after a week and 2 days), now it just needs to wend its way through US merchant services.

My own mother almost sent us to the wrong city. Same as belynch: SJO instead of SJC.

I still have to pause and think for a second when I see SJO, SJC or SJU.

I wonder if they did that because of the move to Star.

Probably. That flight number used to continue to/from FRA.

Thanks for the reminder for me to call and deal with UA - couldn't find a suitable date (e.g. "enough segments" and "fits my schedule") to move my BD-enabled HUp.

Kind of like the CO agent that confused "Venice" for "Vienna" on my itinerary.

I checked in at RDU once for RDU-IAH-EZE, and the agent was trying to check my bags to Belize.
I said Buenos Aires por favor.

Talking head on Fox Business just got done with the NYS Comptroller, and closed the segment with "And your state's motto should be 'Don't be New Jersey'." :D

The cute blond talking set of legs said a few minutes said that $300k homes in AZ are under $100k right now. A guy can dream.

AZ and NV have some fairly screaming deals now, if one is willing to be a landlord and/or live there and wait for the eventual recovery. I looked into a campus director position in NV.

Both of those states have legal and financial incentives for a trapped Jerseyan. :-: "Eventual recovery" = insane amount of equity.
