He certainly would have close access to someone who sets about the best examples of low-cost living found on FT. :)

I can't do much about the cost of air travel but I can do something about the routings and award redemptions. And one of my summer projects is to explore expenditures to streamline finances even more where possible - once something gets into "the routine" it sticks as a habit of mind.

No idea. As an apartment resident, I tend not to concern myself with these things.

What are the new rates?

ETA: A little googling seems to indicate that water rates are adjusted every April, so a bill for March's water use should still be under the old rates, whatever they are.

Doesn't look like they actually passed the measure. The last change to water rates was last year (April 1, 2009).

I'd definitely say something to management.

Yeah, I re-edited my post, again, to include a link to the current water rates.

Some of us get status for ~$3,000 a year and then use RDMs from various sources to get those flight benefits - of course, earning the RDMs mean an opportunity cost (could have a cashback credit card, etc.).

I certainly hope that Scott6067 is paying attention to the first lessons from the master. :)
