Good afternoon folks! I left PSP this morning, and the drive back had lots of traffic. I got close to home and realized I couldn't reach my street due to closures related to the LA Marathon. I drove over to my office, parked and went out to lunch. I finally got home about 30 min. ago.

These US vouchers keep getting better and better. Books into a special fare class, non-miles earning. FAIL.

Ouch. Even on a code-share flight where the operating carrier's underlying code is what will post?

Sounds like a free gift from one of those companies that sell time share vacations. :-:

Allegiant is actually pretty good, especially if you pay for the exit row, which has excellent legroom (better than exit rows on CO's 738s). The seats are all-leather, and quite comfy. I'll just bring my own airport-bought soft-drink onboard.

That doesn't sound too bad. MD-80s, as well as DC-9s, MD-90s, and 717s, have always had excellent exit row legroom by virtue of the plane's design. The original Douglas jet designs had more space between the windows than the Boeings, as well as larger windows, and the DC-9 family has a regular non-exit window between the two exit windows. All that equates to a nice chunk of legroom in those rows.

Don't give US management any ideas.

One large glass of sugar-free cran did the job that two gallons of water could not. When the river started running again, it was nothing short of a light switch being flipped in my head. The same reaction that drugs give to a person in pain is just about the same reaction you'll see when that little dose of calcified evil makes its exit.

He's been downing the cranberry juice since before going to the hospital last night. It's also good as a maintenance beverage to help prevent future stones as well. Thanks to a grandfather with kidney disease, I knew the signs last night when this started, and what to do.

He's still sore, but pain meds have helped a bunch, and we had a pretty active afternoon after leaving the hospital. We made a quick trip home, then headed out to fill prescriptions, grab lunch, and run some other errands. He was told to stay up and active as much as possible as that will also help pass it.

We've also got enough narcotics in this house now to start a side business. Not that we're going to, but we were both pretty shocked with the supply that the ER doctor wrote the prescription for.

Not quite. It was less tacky, just white print on a black background and hanging in a small children's play area under a staircase. One of our usual Sunday brunch places, adjacent to the CVS, was packed with a huge wait, so we walked a block down the street to another place we'd not been. Turns out there was no wait, food was very good, and it was cheaper than the place we were originally headed.

Later Box!

Glad to hear he\it worked out. Where all did you all go?

Do you remember the ex-Ozark TW DC-9s that had those weird vertical slats between the interio curvature of the fuselage and the window seat footwell/foot area? I do not recall having been on any other DC-9s with that feature on any other carrier. Not sure whether that was unique to Ozark or what.

FYI - The HGI in Nashville/Franklin-Cool Springs is very modern and nice. it is a new offering from HGI, seems their rooms are being the two room suite concept. Also there was a firepir outside for fun!! And many of these are getting larger convention space depending on location.

Just checked out their website. Most of their rooms are standard rooms. That's just one of the junior suites.
