A CO agent can probably issue you a BP for the UA flight. Online check in should also work for most codeshares.

It seems that CO split up our PNR on check-in. I hope this does not cause a problem with UA

Call the elite desk and ask for the UA PNR?

Yes. Although I'm still not sure how.

If CO e-mailed you a boarding pass for the UA flight, then you're checked in on the UA flight. UA will take the CO boarding pass.

I was not aware that CO and UA were that progressive. Thanks ^

That's part of the whole alliance thing. Single check-in for all flights. You just check in for the first flight with the carrier operating that flight, and you should get boarding passes for everything on the itinerary, with no need to check in again.

I so don't want to go to Louisiana today.

Adding "today" makes this statement redundant.

I called them and they claim even though we have two seperate CO confirmations, we have one UA confirmation. I can't get into my res on UA now. Web error
