This is true. Although now that I know about the UA 777 between OGG and KOA...

If Colin Powell can get away with disliking that word construction, I sure as hell can.

Yes; that little park near the W is quite nice. I usually stay in Kahala, which is about a 10-minute drive from the W on the road that follows the ocean and goes around Diamond Head. No tourists hanging out and you get the beaches all to yourself, plus plenty of good restaurants within a short drive.

That sounds like a great plan, although despite what many say, Oahu is not nearly the hellhole that people make it out to be. You just need to know where to go, where to stay, and where to eat. I rather like Oahu, in fact, and have spent nearly two months there during the past several years. Most people who go there stay in Waikiki and/or downtown HNL and don't venture out of the really touristy parts, or maybe venture up to the North Shore and go at the wrong time of day, then complain about the traffic. Let me know if you want recommendations for anything on Oahu.

ETA - you also need to go up to at least the base camp at 10,000 feet on Mauna Kea on the Big Island at night to see the stars; it's one of the most amazing things you'll ever see. You could also take a tour that will take you the observatory on the summit at 14,500 feet.

Interesting thought about Mauna Kea. ^^ She's afraid of heights, so this is perfect.

I am compiling two lists - Boxers who want to do Fantasy Football, and Box subject matter experts on certain parts of Hawaii.

Somewhere down on the list of things to do is an examination of how much aeroporn I can get out of this trip and how many light aircraft I can convince my fiancee to board. I have never set foot on a 767 or 777, and I have a 717 several times over. I have a Dash-8-200, but not the Island Air -100.

Will you be at the reception on Friday?

Our plans for Saturday - Possibly Juan in a Million.

Then dinner at Serrano's.

Sunday - Salt Lick.

The rest of the weekend is wide open - probably will need to go to the park to run off some of the food. :p

I stand corrected! I also fully support the nap time idea. ^

The HA 717s are fun, as are the WP Dash 8s.

It's a Sunday-only. UA3. Knowing UA, purchasing that segment standalone is probably $7,346.21 in Y-.
