Doesn't bother me at all. It's the very rare unusual noises that do.

I also hate sitting over teh wing. I hate looking at it "bouncing" around in the air. Makes me think it is going to fall off...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

You would have been really freaked out on my IAH-BPT flight a week ago on a Colgan Saab 340. Extremely gusty north winds meant that the 70 mile almost due east flight was being pummeled the entire time. Not only were the wings flexing, but so was the fuselage. And several times we hit turbulence so rough that it felt like we hit a solid object in the air.

Whereas I find comfort in hearing flap changes and gear drops. Ensures that they're still there and working. :o

That is pretty much all they operate to/from CLE, but I prefer the livery on the island version:

The aeroporn fun factor is enhanced immensely by the looks my then-wife will be shooting me and how hard she will be holding my hand. The expletive she blurted out upon boarding an ERJ-145 for the first time was priceless, and I would expect that the language gets worse as the aircraft get smaller.
Anyone in teh Box have a Marriott stay between now and 8 March? I might be able to arrange a "Bonus" of sorts for some folks. |

I got a little wigged out on the flight I boarded after I met you in IAH. That IAH-SEA flight was the first time I heard a page for medical.

Watching the first minute of this video should clear up that fear.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nA7B-JWt3M I worked with a bunch of aerospace engineers last year and they explained the physics of flight in minute detail.....still didn't stop me thinking that flying is pure magic! Nothing else. Not phyicis. Just magic! |

I was on a CO Express flight yesterday -- an older ERJ. As we were close to EWR -- all this water started dripping on me (12A) -- the FA said it was condensation -- it's clearly an on-going issue with that seat -- is it worth a note to CO 'who cares'?! |

I didn't know that video of that takeoff test existed. That's the test that is chronicled on the last few pages of the Karl Sabbagh book.
The stall tests in that video are pretty cool too! I can't even imagine what that feels like... |
ooops. looks like quotes are going wobbly-bonkers again.
