Not seeing my name on the "upgrade standby list" for my flight Tuesday to LAS, I called and was told I was on the automated list, but my name wouldn't show up on the list online unless the upgrade was processed or I checked in with OLCI.
Is this something new/recent? I used to see my name without a check mark on the list when I wasn't upgraded yet - and it was quite reassuring. Now I have to trust that I'm there, without proof... |

You only show up on the lists that we can see if you are checked in. Been that way forever AFAIK. Definitely hasn't changed recently (past 2 years).

Double post.

As of a couple days ago, CO.com is doing an impression of Hilton.com and requiring me to sign into my OnePass account every second or third page. Today when booking a flight got all the way to the seat selection screen and realized I wasn't logged in -- tried to from there and it wouldn't "take."
Had to back all the way out to the main page, login again, and then book the flights. Kind of a pain in the  (but still better than hilton.com) |
Hi,
I'm not sure if this is exactly the right place to post about this, but I have a bug / issue with a ticket I just issued. I booked, via phone, 2 award tickets Houston to Dublin for June 2011, and the days of the week are showing up wrong on my email confirmation. CO.com is showing correct day of week / date on the reservation, so I'm not overly concerned. I am concerned about another part of my reservation, though. My waitlisted segment is showing up as a connection during my return trip (even though I waitlisted for the 1st segment of the trip!) - It's showing DUB-FRA-IAH-DFW, along with a connection time for IAH-DFW, even though I wanted to waitlist IAH-DFW on the outbound. Do I need to call an agent back about this? Thx for the help. CLG |
First time trying FareLock... I am 4 days into a 7 day lock, with 3 days to go. I just got a reminder email at almost exactly T-72 hours. The email just plainly says "FareLock Reminder" with the fare and itinerary shown. It doesn't say when the FareLock is due to expire. It doesn't say whether I chose the auto-purchase option at the conclusion of the lock.
Suggestion: the email should have some text that says something to the effect of "your FareLock is due to expire in approximately X hours/days" and "this ticket will/will not be automatically purchased on Month/Day/Time" |
Not sure if this has been reported or not, but I just checked in for my flight tomorrow from FRA and this is what was on my PDF boarding pass...
Go paperless and use your mobile phone or PDA as your boarding pass! Mobile boarding passes are now an option for most customers traveling on domestic itineraries from Frankfurt (FRA). Go to http://pda.continental.com - Flight Check-in and then choose mobile boarding pass as your delivery option. |
Just got a FareLock reminder email at T-24 - the text has been added to the email
"Your reservation will automatically be purchased using the credit card provided on Mon., Dec. 20, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. in Cleveland, OH (CLE). Please visit manage my reservation on continental.com if you wish to cancel this reservation." |
Something else I'd like to see: the site lists duty free shopping is available in-flight; it'd be nice to have (even a PDF version) a list of what's available and the price. I know that BA and LY do this

Weird - I haven't booked a ticket since the preview site went live, and booked a ticket this morning. It used to be saved in my profile that I prefer the Kosher meal, and when I checked my flight, I'd see "Kosher meal" chosen. Now, I see that nowhere in my profile or in my flight info, AND, I don't see any way of selecting it. Any thoughts?
Update: I found where to select "Kosher meal" on my OP profile (was selected) but still see no confirmation of KSML for my actual flight. Update 2: All sorted out |
Giving credit where credit is due
I've complained to CO numerous times about the fact that every time I sign in to view my reservation, it seems every link I click leads me to the "Upgrade Reservation to BF" page. I told them if I want BF, I'll buy it, or upgrade the first time. Clearly, the fact that I sign in and out numerous times without upgrading shows I'm not interested. Another problem was if I accidentally hit something, I upgrade myself for money since my credit card is saved on file, and then it's a real hassle to go back to my initial ticket, and more often than not, I lose my decent seat.
Well no longer! I don't know if this is for everyone or just me (considering I put this information on that survey they sent out a couple of weeks back) but it only showed up the first time I viewed my reservation. Now when I sign in, it's not on the main page (though I can still click on the link on top). Kudos CO! |
Seat Map Issues
Looking at flights on 3/14 from EWR-SFO. Every flight that day shows an empty seat map (no passengers) except for those seats blocked until 24 hours. How can this be?
|
co.com - when looking at the seat map for a booked Y ticket with a waitlist F ticket (might be other circumstances as well, but that was mine):
When a seat opened on the seat map for F (but no availability for booking), the available seat turned orange. Mouse-over said to click to complete the upgrade process. Clicking got me an expected error as there were actually no seats available. Looks like the upgrade logic on the seat map is busted and looks at open seats vs. cabin availability. |
