Same here. Plus it's being slow to login.

I guess their crack programmers are up to something again.

Yup. Happens from time to time. They're probably making some really cool improvements

Mine are also gone. I can't even get the page to load to look at them individually.

Can't even make a new reservation. It times-out. Hope the crack team is working on this!

Yesterday my reservation with one CO metal leg and one UA metal leg had the UA leg drop out of sight while a CO agent was looking at it. That leg still showed on the UA site, though. Makes me think they're trying to fix a synchronization problem and could be loading the res database that the site references.

edcho Dec 22, 2011 8:18 am

Now I can't even reach the site! :(

That happens once in awhile (more often when you were upgraded or something changed on the CO metal).

probably shut down to eliminate damage from the mistake fare.

Not that there is a mistake fare - just saying that would be a reason for an airline to shut down its website :D

The CO reservation system really makes me nostalgic for the old days of IT. Back before we had today's powerful and robust distributed database software that can easily manage huge amounts of data spread over multiple servers, we had to compartmentalize the software into small functional units that each managed their own limited datasets. This necessitated a whole lot of duplication of data and led to endless fun debugging communication and synchronization problems. I'll bet they have to hire old geezers like me to maintain their systems because today's generation of programmers wouldn't know what to make of it! :)

I just bought a ticket! Still slow tho

Receipt Generation Errors

Bought a couple tickets a bit ago, and am unable to get a receipt. Ticketing was quick (for CO -- about 5 minutes), but it won't display a receipt:

We were unable to process your eTicket receipt. Processing may take up to 15 minutes.

If you continue to have problems obtaining a receipt, please contact 800.579.3959 or send an e-mail to [email protected] for assistance.
If you would like to request a new receipt and you completed your travel within the past 7 days, please click here and follow the instructions provided.

Thank you for choosing Continental Airlines

I've waited more than the requisite 15 minutes that CO's systems request to generate a receipt.

Fortunately there's a UA segment on these, so I'm able to use the UA confirmation number and see the ticket number, so it's good and I can deal with getting a CO receipt later.

Anyone else having trouble getting receipts out of CO today?

Just wanted to say farewell to Continental.com. I booked my last ticket on the site a few minutes ago. It is an award ticket on AC from PEK to YUL. $18,60 + 32500 CO miles. I attempted to make this reservation on United.com, but of course, you cannot see partner inventory on United. Bleh! Will miss Continental.

This is the last time because United is taking over? The CO search engine will remain
