"Check in now..." alerts coming ~1hr late
Today I got my check in now alert at 1:46 for a 12:55 pm flight tomorrow. I checked the header and the message left CO's server at 1:46:10 and was on my server by 1:46:35, so it's not a network issue.
I've noticed others coming late this spring as well. I don't know if it's related to the server now having to run other processes (e.g. auto-check-in) or just something goofy. It's not that big a deal, but until they abandon the Check-in time tiebreak for upgrades, it does count. (All the same, I feel pretty good about my chances, currently sitting very high on the list as a plat on an H fare with only 4/8 F seats even booked; BTW, my SEQ was 17 but there are already 10 folks on the upgrade standby list.) Not like AUS-IAH is all that long; and it (and IAH-AUS) is still the only mainline route I have missed upgrades on this year. |
Billing and Website problems
Ive has a few problems with the billing and onpass milage parts of the website.
I had purchased EWR -NRT and used a credit I had for another flight This was completed on line WITH web help people on the phone at same time. Result the credit was not applied the web help person had to go in and make sure it was corrected. Result full price of ticket was billed to the credit card I used. When I called webhelp & OP they went back into the reservation and they said the credit was applied. I said thanks and rechecked it about 4 days later. Full price of ticket was still there. Back to the webhelp desk on their screen it said the credit had gone thru but the credit card compant still has it billed for the full amount. Still trying to recitfy this. Part 2 This flight qualified for the Winter EWR-NRT bonus should have recieved 5000 miles had booked B/B for this trip then upgraded the outbound to F return didnt fill so it was an F/B trip still should have gotten 5000 miles result only the out bound to Nrt was credited for 2500. I have no yet recieved the inbound 2500 miles despite a few emails to support where they told me that I was getting the 5000 miles. Still trying to get this fixed . Part 3 I took my pet to EWR on one flight on a seperate reservation so someone could babysit for me. One pet 2 flights I got billed 3 times for this one pet. Again this was done with the OP/webhelp people on the line so I had the pet reservation confirmed. Again I ws billed $95 x3 for this one trip I called to find out what OP/webhelp has on the reservation they showed it was billed for 1 pet on rt (2 x$95). Result the credit card bill was for 3x $95. I had to cancel the pets return but im still showing the charge for 2X$95. So something is wrong with the bill part of the system. Has anyone else had these problems? Can someone give me a hand with this? I have spent more than a few weeks trying to resolve this mess. I understand the what web help is seeing on their screens is correct and they have been very helpful. But this mess seems unending ! |
I went to change a flight for this Sunday that I have from BTR-SFO and at the final page where it shows me the price of the old and the new, they make no sense. According to this, I paid over $800 in taxes for this flight and the full Y fare was only $684.

CO.com won't show flight which has availability
No matter what I do to search for a one-way OKC-AUS tomorrow, I can't get CO.com to show 5583/1603. Both flights have availability and I called and booked it, but why doesn't it show up? (And what else am I missing when I search for other flights?)
BTW, Obitz doesn't show it either, so it may not be a CO.com bug, strictly speaking. Back story... if you don't care any more you don't have to read: I'm trying to get home from OKC tomorrow after a lunch meeting, an the best I could find on CO.com all week was to leave here at 4:38 and arrive AUS 8:53. As a result, I checked AA and WN and ended up booking on WN (to get home at 7:15). Tonight, sitting at the hotel, I thought "surely some airline can get me out of OKC after 2 and home before 7:15. AA had some stuff but are charging $383-$553 for it. Searching Orbitz gave me no more information either. So I went to the flyokc.com site to see the list of airlines serving OKC to jog my memory in case I was forgetting some obscure carrier. The website has a link to see flight status, so I pulled that up to see what flights were taking off Friday afternoon. And there I see it: CO 5583 to Houston, departing at 2:45pm. So I go to seatcounter.com and look for it there and both legs show Y9. And I go to pda.CO.com and both legs show availability in economy. I called the elite line and booked. F is booked full on the mainline... might have had a chance if I'd known about the flights, but I've still got a shot; did manage to grab 8B (but fly CHQ so little that I don't recall if there's any benefit to it). |
On my trip notes, "Class: Coach (AU)" is listed when it should read, Class: First (AU).

Just a thought:
On the Onepass News and Offers the line about Logan in Boston - yall should think about changing the Delta Club Room and replacing with President's Club as yall now have that offered. Also you may want to put that on the Featured Portion as it is an enhancement that many outside of Flyer Talk may not know about. |
Car rental price display error (I assume)
So I added a rental to an itinerary, at the time around $190 for 8 days IIRC. CO.com is showing the rental now for $24.91 Per Week.
The price would be nice, but I'll just assume it's a co.com glitch. |
Duplicate message from CO Receipts via email
Hi,
This has maybe been going on for a while, but tonight I noticed that CO receipts via email seem to have a grammatical problem. I received the following message the other day: "Operated by EXPRESSJET AIRLINES INC doing business as CONTINENTAL EXPRESS doing business as CONTINENTAL EXPRESS" The phrase "doing business as CONTINENTAL EXPRESS" is repeated in the receipt. Award hold being canceled way before deadline
I had a problem yesterday using my miles to book my mom on an open jaw award on AF/CO IAH-BUD/CDG-IAH with Saverpass.
I put the award reservation on hold at around 1pm CT on Thursday, and I got the email confirmation along with a reminder that if not ticketed it will expire at midnight Friday. When I looked it up Thursday night, the reservation was gone. Problem was that the return flight (CO11) didn't have availability anymore. I put another one on hold, this one flying back on AF. Called Elite desk, got transferred to co.com support, but they couldn't help me to get original back. It's not a big deal which flight she took to get back, but I tried to figure out what happened. co.com support said it was canceled 5pm, and she couldn't see a credit card number properly linked to that reservation. I did recently switch CC, and did put in new number yesterday, so I could have entered something wrong. But if that was the case, they shouldn't have sent me the confirmation that the award was held, expiring midnight next day. |
Please, already, fix the submit button on account login to be the default control. It will take maybe a minute.

My parents are flying into MSP and I went to the Co website to look up the clubs for them and co.com says there are no clubs in MSP!!!!:confused:
I went to NWA.com and found it but still - kinda a big one missing there. |
