Fare Class? when making a change
 
Whenever I make a change to my flight online it drives me crazy because the website never discloses the fare class that you are chaning to.

Continental needs to list the fare class before you make the change. I like to know if it is Y fare if I am changing from a Y fare; that way I can get my upgrade.

Error Message: "!You have not selected any travelers"
 
Over the past few days I keep coming across the error message "!You have not selected any travelers" when searching for fares. After recieving the error the reservations page is shown again and then you simply set the traveler from its current setting of "1" to "1" again, then it works.

Other details....I was logged into my account when I started the search. I then selected mutli-City destination when the error occured.

1st class standby list on RJ
 
Checked my wife in for a flight from IAH -> CRP on an Embraer RJ145.

This was printed on the boarfong pass:

CO 2xxx H Added to First Class standby list

Guess than means she's waitlisted for 12A as that's as close as you come to first class on an Embraer RJ145... or is co retrofitting the planes to add a 1st cabin?

pda.continental.com - olci seat map issue...
 
Checking seats for an already checked in itinerary: was in F (AU). Seat map for a 737-500 showed rows 1-2 full (with my seat appropriately marked)... and gave me the opportunity to select seats in rows 3-6! (I didn't.). Flight was the 6:40 5/29 bos-ewr. I can only imagine what would have happened had I picked 3a on a 735!

Shortly after this, I changed to an earlier flight (and got the y-up). Checking in (not already checked in) I saw the correct seat map for a 735.

Sad to say, continental.co.uk has just cost the airline £4,000 in revenue.

Went to book a business class return GLA - IAH.

For some reason, the website started with US date format and $ billing, which I could cope with.

When I'd selected flights and got to the screen to enter my details, it rejected my UK phone number as invalid, depsite it being perfectly valid and me choosing UK as my home country for the phone number. It then added insult to injury by rejecting my Flying Blue number as invalid when it wasn't.

All that took me 10 minutes to fix, and when I moved on to entering credit card details, the website asked where the billing address was. When I entered UK, I was redirected back to select flights again and after I'd done that I was asked to re-enter the personal data that I had just entered.

The thought of fighting the system to get my phone number and FF card in again defeated me. I'll fly BA instead.

Unable to change return when outbound upgraded with miles
 
Boooked my mom CRP - GDL paid with a credit card then called and used my miles to upgrade her outbound (no upgrade on returns all coex flights).

Attempting to change the return date the resulted in a display of reward availibility instead of regular availibility.

Had to call and spend a LOT of time on hold while rate desk was consulted.

When viewing a Res why do only some segments show "Total Miles"
 
I am not sure if this is a bug, intended operation, or something else.

I have noticed that when viewing reservations, all of the segments show the OnePass Mile/Elite Qualification for the individual segment. However only some of them display Total Miles in Bold Print.

Is this intended, if so why do the other segments not display the total miles?

I checked a flight search and none of the results display Total Miles, it seems the feature is only seen from the View Reservations screen in My Account.

minor problem but the mileage calculator doesn't work for city pairs from AUS. For example AUS-BRU or AUS-CPH or AUS-ANC. Nothing comes up.

Ive been trying to book the summer BF fare sale (ewr-mad) for Aug 10 return Aug 17 the website gives me 2 choices one for $2999 + tax fees the other is $5000 something is not working properly. :(


Im starting to wonder is ALL the prices being quoted are wrong at this point.

Could this be the reason for the outrageous prices I've seen reciently?

Can you trust anything you see on the Co website now?

I wonder if Co bookings are down? :td: :td:

PROBLEM: Car reservations fall off the CURRENT view on the day of the reservation
 
I did a quick search but didn't find this listed here...

For CAR RESERVATIONS, my issue is that they "fall off" the CURRENT reservations view into the PAST reservations view on the day of the reservation. Whenever I go to review a car reservation on the day it is supposed to occur, I have to go to the PAST tab. It would be nice if they fell from CURRENT to PAST on the day AFTER the reservation.

NOTE: This may also apply to HOTEL reservations but I haven't tried making any recently on CO.com.

Isn't this a great feature? It even happens if you later take the mileage upgrade off the reservation entirely. Afterwards, if you try to change to a different flight, you get the same reward availability screen with 0 availability! Somehow continental.com thinks the reservation was one that you booked entirely using miles. On the other hand, it doesn't show even EasyPass availability in the erroneous screen. It seems as if the reservation is eternally damned.

That happened to me in HNL in April. Before I arrived, I noticed my Budget reservation I had made on continental.com had slipped into "Past Reservations." I wondered whether I had a reservation at all. Uncomfortable feeling to say the least.

This is getting really frustrating. I am trying to book a Y fare for an automatic upgrade to F and even though I put in the fare class I want (Y) it shows me only a discounted fare when the pricing comes up.

This never happened to me before. Have I suddenly started doing something wrong?
