Buying Miles

Longer Answer: all discount Continental fares (S,T,W,X,L) will only earn 50% EQMs regardless of the location of where a ticket is purchased. However, if one purchases a ticket through continental.com they will receive a 50% EQM bonus (50% base EQM + 50% bonus EQM = 100%/Full EQMs).

Tickets purchased through Continental's RewardOne program for businesses are also all eligible for 100% EQMs.

Please note: Continental's partners have different rules regarding EQM accrual. Up-to-date information on earning OnePass EQM's with Continental's partners can be found here.

Does CO allow members of OnePass to buy miles? I cannot find that information anywhere on the website, but I admit that I am not an expert at this kind of sleuthing.

It's sort of buried in the use miles hierarchy on the CO website. Here's the direct link: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US.../buymiles.aspx

Hi.....I am an occasional user of FT and would like to make a suggestion. I came here to check on credit cards for CO Onepass and the OP miles/account expiration issue.

Sorry if it has already been discussed or done in some way and/or if I missed it. It does seem to be a FAQ. I did do a search on 'onepass expiring' and found some threads. My suggestion is that you put a link to the relevant thread

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=47492

on the:

FAQ for Continental, OnePass and Life's Greater Mysteries

under:

MILES, ELITE STATUS AND BUYING TICKETS WITH CONTINENTAL

and you may want to merge the following threads with the one above:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...iration&page=2

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt......+expiration

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt......+expiration

and there are more....

Thanks.

Can you elaborate on what you're trying to add? I don't quite follow you from the contents of post 27.

FAQ updates:

Addition of the 4th AVOD 777 and reference to the 5th being retro-fitted. Blurbs on buying onepass miles and onepass mile expiration. Some random spelling and grammatical corrections.

The fleet plan has been updated slightly. It's going to take a while to go through all of the various investor relations updates though so it may not be the most accurate tally.

I'd like to see us track the updates of the 757s with AVOD and also which 738s/739s have power on them.

I think rkkwan has reported there are at least 3 757s with full Y conversion to AVOD and in-seat power: #104, #114, #130.

The FAQ fleet plan has been updated to reflect the sale of an additional 5 737-500s for a total of 20 by the end of 2008.

I updated the FAQ with this information, as well as the expectation of the 739ERs with the IFE and different seating chart earlier today (post #40, I think). I also updated the 772 list in the same post to show that #15 is now AVOD and that #14 is in the shop.

A posting regarding the Travel club and how to get missing credits added to your account has been added to the FAQ.

752 ship #106 has been fitted with AVOD and is back in action.

Deleted. Relevance.

No idea. I actually just read about #106 on a.net. The source also says that the CO Corporate news announcement mentions that...

"CO’s 757 fleet is scheduled for completion of AVOD installation by the end of 2008"

A few more updates to the FAQ today. I updated the QF reward page to reflect the ridiculous increase in rates. I updated the search section to reflect that one can search for 3-letter terms now, and also a hyperlink to search google with the site:flyertalk.com bit pre-populated.

Good times!
