Shannon,
Thank you so much for the update. Systems integration is truly a very complex issue and I hope you are able to do it as quickly as possible. I have two observations: 1. The hard-core PMCO apologists on this board continuously defend any issue, even once it has been made made clear to them that there is, in fact, a problem, as is the case here. 2. Shannon's post above demonstrates that the fanatic apologism endemic on this fourm represents little more than a disservice to PMCO, as constructive criticism is useful and appreciated, as was the case here. Hope it gets fixed soon. |
Monitoring CO1645/CO1717 on Friday (about 43 and 47 hours out).
All prices include taxes & fees. Fare paid was about $148.65 for these segments in K class. Buy-up offered for $481.00 extra, or $629.65 total. New B class ticket for sale for $638.90. Buy-up to first is is $9.25 cheaper than it should be. Upgrade with miles said waitlist only on both segments. CO1645: inventory F/JN/A/ZN/P/PN/Y/YN/B/M/E/U/H/HN/Q/V/W/S/T/L/K/G/N/XN9, X1 20 total F seats 8 booked according to pda.continental.com 2 passengers upgraded according to pda.continental.com Buy-up claims "1 seat available" CO1717: inventory F/JN/A/ZN/P/PN8, Y/YN/B/M/E/U/H/HN9, Q5 16 total F seats 8 booked 4 passengers upgraded Buy-up claims "8 seats available" I did not receive upgrade via EUA at T-48 on either segment. Currently in a middle ELR seat. I'm just hoping both flights stay on equipment with in-seat power... |

Amen. Even after an official post saying its broken / basically not running til T-24, there sre still those who just can't admit the existence of any flaws.
Hope it gets fixed soon. Hope what gets fixed soon? EUA or the irrational exuberance about CO? |

So your fare differential should be measured against the Y or B fare, not A. |

But FWIW, my last CO flight was last month. |

I'm hoping my PMCO brothers and sisters will grow and learn to voice their opinions vs. simply defending whatever the airline does. |

There's no need, at long as the airline lasts in PMUA form - UDU not broken, UG space released well before T-24 (unlike...), no TODs, no IM gaming the UG buckets, etc. UA metal has much more credibility at the moment vs CO.
Note that I have had issues with upgrades not processing at the expected times (not every time but on multiple occasions) and have sent the specifics to UA Insider as requested. And I have received personal acknowledgment of the issues. Thanks UA Insider. |

It's worth noting that PMCO also had EAU not broken, UG space released well before T-24, only TODs when every eligible Elite had been upgraded, etc. Although some procedures and priority differed both systems worked well before the start of integration and I am confident they will work again. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

And I have received personal acknowledgment of the issues. Thanks UA Insider. Since the current issue is related to system integration, there is clearly a reasonable explanation for the problem, but the fact of the matter is that the engineered lack of transparency in PMCO's upgrading system has created an atmosphere of virtual paranoia on the part of elites every time there is a pattern that would suggest EUA is not functioning properly. |
