Got T-6 upgrade from E fare on CO 1226 EWR-AUS for Sunday.

This technically doesn't count as EUA, though, since I had to call to get it. Once the agent confirmed that PN was available, I got the upgrade right away.

I'm confused. PN is for M/Y/B-UPs, not for EUA.

Thought it pulled from the same bucket for PPlat.

Interesting, I was not aware of that. If that's the case, then :D

I don't think this is fixed yet or anywhere near fixing... 3 days to my flight, 1/20 sold and no EUA. Sad...

The fare class is definitely PN, and I didn't make the connection until you mentioned it. If this is true then I just have to make a note to call at T-6 for every trip below M, and I should get the "EUA" if PN is available.

My return from AUS will be at T-6 tomorrow, so I'll try again and see if I get the upgrade.

That's stinks - almost like EUA isn't even running (at least til T-24) ;)

....Or EUA is running but R/RN = 0

If R/RN is consistently zeroed out until T-24hrs (even with pretty light load in F), does it really matter whether EUA is running or not? Not sure why people are so insistent that EUA is running, but no upgrade inventory is available. As far as I am concerned, it might as well not run until R/RN is available because it won't matter in the final outcome.

Knock on wood. I haven't had a problem this year with EUA. My EUA seems to be fine. I got one today for Friday IAH-MCO.

I think the argument in this thread is about timing of EUA. As Plat (according to your profile), you are eligible for EUA starting at T-5 days. You received one today for a flight on Friday, that's T-3 days (assuming you are talking about Tuesday). If the flight is wide open in F & EUA was working as advertised, you could have gotten the upgrade 2 days ago. Now, if F is pretty full, I can understand why CO decided to hold back until T-3 days.

If a tree falls in the forest, but no one sees/hears it, did it really fall?

If EUA is technically active, but there's never/rarely any inventory made available before T-24, does that count as "running"?

It's stuff like this that makes you sound like a biased CO hater. Why throw in the word never? It's not correct. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it.

If passengers still get their upgrade, it doesn't really matter when it clears.

The real issue is whatever inventory gets acquired by other mechanisms during the period between when EUA was supposed to work and T-24.

For those elites, sitting in PMCO's signature knee-crushing 31" seat-pitch Y, EUA didn't work...

How is that even remotely correct? UA-NYC may not be a CO fan, but what he writes in this post is completely factual and devoid of any emotional content.
