No, they'll come up with a thinner bulkhead and have one row at 31.5"

Amen to that. It wouldn't be the first time crazy rumors spread like wildfire.

Extra legroom is the only difference, but it's also more likely you will have empty seats in E+ than in E- on a less than full flight.

If this rumor turns out to be accurate, perhaps CO has been hearing their customers. I know for myself, E+ is the only reason I choose UA over CO-if upgrades don't clear, E+ is a decent seat and absolutely necessary internationally

Well done!

I'm short, but I love having the extra space and would be thrilled if CO did this.

I am wondering if it will indeed be 32" but with a middle seat blocked ala european 'business'...(they have better service as well)

anything less then what UA has makes it E- and a :td: to boot

Having the seat next to you empty doesnt give you much in the way of extra leg room if the person in front of you reclines

Since CO wouldnt be selling this outright as Premium Economy I dont see any seats being left empty, just as UA doesnt sell it as a separate cabin like BA does . But BA has a completely different cabin with better seating and bigger & wider. UA simply gives the exact same seat and service only more leg room

+1.

At 6'1'', E+ more than doubles the distance between your knees and the seat in front of you.

+ 3

6' 2" here- flew E+ much better than CO Coach- hope the rumor is true ^

JetAway Feb 19, 2010 6:56 am

CO is so tightfisted with its cash that and so allergic to change that something like this would be a very welcome surprise. But it is probably cheaper than replacing those horrible coach seats with something comfortable. And it moves both companies closer to.......merger.

I won't believe it either, but it's nice to think that someone at CO feels our pain. And if it turns out to be 32", it's still better than 31". Any inch of extra space is an inch progress for this 6'3" elite.

If this turns out to be true, next on the agenda* will be to break the contract with the church pew vendor CO sources its whY seats from. :-:

*I'm assuming the snack basket will appear before the fleet is reconfigured to E+ ;)

Unless the airline's management has its heAAd up their arse, most airlines seem to be able to turn their premium econ sections into revenue generators. @:-)

Except for the major upgrade killer - UDU.

That is a Udu. IIRC you are in the CO forum; therefore it is an EUA. Or, more precisely yet, an EUA.

If you're 6'1"+ tall, those extra inches mean ALOT.

and another +1 (even tho i'm a short 6'0" ;)). for those of you who haven't experienced e+, once you cross your legs, you'll know why-trust me ;)
