You heard it here first boys & girls!!! Sat beside a certain "someone" on my p.s. transcon flight this evening (& yes, I was in row 9, there's just something about 100" of legroom that I really like)...
He said CO would begin reconfiguring aircraft later this year to allow for E+ seating. This should make all my CO buddies REALLY happy. When that damn upgrade doesn't clear, it's awfully nice to know that were case scenario, you have a GREAT seat in economy (-;
Hmmm, not sure if I should also post this on the UA Forum???

Looks like UA wears the pants in this relationship
First SWU's for CO and then E+. What's next? CR1's?

Can you at least mention the capacity of the person you sat next to? If it's anyone besides a CO or UA exec, I don't buy it.

What's so great about Economy Plus? On the seat guru page I'm looking at (for a UA 747) it looks like it's 3 inches increased pitch... Details?

That would be good news, though.

its only 34 on the 747, but its up to 36 on others (domestic 757). It means that there are a ton of "good" seats on on every flight, because on flights like SFO-BOS and SFO-IAD there are easily enough elites to go around to fill F AND the bulkhead AND the exit rows. Not to mention its almost always less full, and means you get off the plane faster, etc...

I was curious about the details because I just purchased an overseas flight and the upgrade was offered. I don't want to stray off topic too much... I am only 5'4" but my traveling companion is about 5'11". Trying to decide if the amenities that come with the E+ would be worth it.
