Its coach on United with 4-ish extra inches of pitch. Its free for Elites and is available for purchase for general or non members.

Does CO have the 4-ish extra inch seat for this to happen?

Oops, my bad - I read it as pm - like 10+ hrs ago, not am.

The only amenities that come with E+ are the extra few inches - namely more space to stretch out your legs and the fact that can actually use a laptop without fear of having the screen snapped off when the person in front of you reclines suddenly.

Totally worth it even for short people.

Haha - yes. I daresay anyone would love the extra space. Even at my height, the seats seem to just exactly fit. No more, no less.

If you're 6'1"+ tall, those extra inches mean ALOT.

At 6'2" my knees are generally squeezed with a 31 inch pitch, and on flights of three hours or longer I expereince pain and sometimes severe muscle cramping and spasms. For a tall person it is a health issue. 32 inches make a big difference, 33 inches very good comfort and 34 inches greater comfort.

You heard it here first boys & girls!!! Sat beside a certain "someone" on my p.s. transcon flight this evening (& yes, I was in row 9, there's just something about 100" of legroom that I really like)...

Unless you want to tell us who that "someone" is, your post (and thread) is totally useless.:td:

so they take out how many rows of first for this?

UA took out 2 rows on the majority of narrowbodies. It might have been 2 on the widebodies as well. On the CR7 it was one row (manufacturer capacity of 70, UA has 66, so 1 less row of 4 seats.) On the ER7 and CRJ (50 seats aircraft) UA removed no rows, as neither plane has E+, and the reason many people avoid those planes for longer flights on UA, as they can do so much better on just about every other UA aircraft.

The PS configured 757 is the worst mainline E+ aircraft in the fleet as every E seat is E+, but it has the least increased pitch of any of the UA fleet (I think only 2 inches extra, but again, every seat has it, not just the front.)

Edit: Oh...rows of FIRST! I didn't see the word "first" lol...good question...If "I hate US Airways" source is reputable, maybe he/she could shed some light here. Even if it is true, anyone privy to this info prior to a public statement would be the world's greatest idiot for gossiping about it to the guy sitting next to him/her on an airplane. Kinda like the Chinese manufacturer for apple (Foxconn) who lost a prototype iphone. http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-10...ubj=News-Apple His response for that potential leak was jumping off a building to his death. Not enough honor in airline execs to ever do that!

Would be nice if the rumor is true. Hopefully the space comes out of Y and F. Taking out one row of Y could make room for 10ish rows of E+; we don't need those extra 6 pax on the flights :D

Personally, I'd rather have more rows in F than E+.....but then again I'm a B-up or milage F flyer most times anyhow if I decide I really want it.

craz Feb 19, 2010 5:49 am

I wont believe it till CO announces it

and then leave it to CO to make their E+ as 32"

With BF lie flat installs being accelerated, several ships are already in the shop and others converted, it would be costly to send them back.

I am wondering if it will indeed be 32" but with a middle seat blocked ala european 'business'...(they have better service as well)

It's about 5 inches and makes all the difference in the world^
