Thank you for your support, everybody!
I apologize for those who attempted to vote for me and were unable to do so due to technical issues. Thank you for taking the time to try to work around those issues to vote.
I have not been gaining ground on the person who is currently in the lead, as he currently has 816 votes and I currently have 108 votes. In fact, I have lost a little ground on him.
However, right now the next step for me is to be in the top row on page 2 in terms of popularity. The next step after that is to get on page 1.
I suppose anything can happen between now and September 30.
There are actually two types of e-mails which I receive.
The first is MilesLink, which is an e-mail subscription service that I have been receiving since at least 1996, long before there was a FlyerTalk:
It was because of this e-mail subscription service that allowed me to take my expiring 30,000 United Airlines Mileage Plus miles in December of 1996 and convert them to 120,000 Hilton HHonors points, as there was a limited-time offer of quadruple Hilton HHonors points for every United Airlines Mileage Plus mile. This is an offer I had never seen repeated ever again.
The other is the TalkMail newsletter, which I receive regularly via e-mail but you can also access the current issue as well as past issues here at any time.
There may be other subscriptions related to FlyerTalk about which I am not familiar.

Each issue of MilesLink contains the latest industry news, hot bonuses and advice and tips that really matter to frequent travelers. With MilesLink delivered directly to your email inbox every other week, you will be among the first to know when changes occur in the world of miles and points.

My wife has voted for you but I am still locked out despite their assurances that the account is OK.
