Hey, quit being such a pessimist!! 14,000+ votes in 24 hours is certainly doable.

Doable but highly improbable.

It was fun following the contest and watching the vote totals change. And I've got to say that the dude from Portugal certainly dominated the contest from start to finish.

But finishing in the top ten out of nearly 700 bloggers is impressive IMO. And your smiling mug has been on the front page for nearly the whole contest.

Congratulations!

I whole heartily agree. It was a valiant effort from beginning to end. Knowing you, there is no doubt you will make it to Antarctica, and the South Pole, no less. This just wasn't your path there.

Besides, I still have to send in my zero payments of $19.95, and I am so lost without Bobby Mays around to tell me when my offer ends.

I think it was an exceedingly good showing for an international competition.

The competition has concluded and is now closed.

My entry finished in ninth place with 723 votes.

Thank you again, everybody!

One more thing before this thread quietly fades into oblivion:

Let us please ensure that if FlyerTalk members need similar assistance in the future that we support their efforts as well. After all, this forum is not called CommunityBuzz! for nothing, and we are all indeed part of the FlyerTalk community.

Thank you again.

Congratulations Canarsie !
I just received the email announcing the winner too... how disappointing.
But several hundred votes is already a success !

Cheers,
