MALBEC??????????????????

You'll get some strange looks if you ask for that grape juice around here!

Priorar is the way to go. Trust me!

I trust you. Why not?

But there is also some of the stuff that is largely based on Grenache (Garnacha) that is very good. Some of it is made from Spanish grapes and some grown in Catalan France. There is an importer of the stuff somewhere in the Ohio River Valley where I work and occasionally I do see some of it, the latest at a Spanish restaurant in Louisville.

Actually, H (1, :o) is totally anorexic and will only occasionally eat a bowl of mung beans, whereas 2 (:p) only ever eats freshly (self-)culled game; so, unless there happens to be a herd of wildebeest roaming majestically around the streets of Barcelona, a single place will do for 3 (), as will single food portions.

The consumption of alcoholic beverages, however, is an entirely different kettle of fish! :D

I was referring to the left side of the Atlantic.

Good to know about the Priorar though.

OK, I got an email from someone kind-of hinting that the pricing error I notified everyone of by email earlier this week was some kind of scam since it wasn't posted in public for all of FT to see. Anyone uncomfortable with the below is welcome to cancel even at this late date. We'll find someone to fill your spot.

--------------------

I'm extremely unhappy and embarrassed to have to bring this to you all, but it seems that we planners did not read the finest of the fine print when it came to the registration website, and we were charged an extra 1500€ for the collection of your boo doo fees that we didn't take into account.

If it had been just a couple hundred Euros, we'd have been happy to eat the money due to our error, and have done so in the past, but we simply can't afford to cover the 1500€ ourselves.

So, here comes the part where I have to ask everyone to help cover this. Divided by all the Boo Doo participants, its 29€ or $45 USD per person.

So as to not end up with more charges, we will NOT be going through the website to collect. You can paypal me directly at the address in the email, or I can take cash on Friday at the event. Whatever is easier for you.

Because this is last minute, and I know some of your budgets are pretty closely planned, I understand if you need some extra time. Just give me an approximate timeline.

Thank you for your understanding, sorry for the screwup, and see you soon.

I can't believe someone would actually accuse you of trying to scam them! After all the work, time, effort you have put into this and all the past Boo Dos! Truly sucks that they stuck you with those fees.

Wish I could be there with yous!

perhaps the person was simply making sure that the email really did come from Alan.

Lets all take a deep breath now... we're almost there!

Map and adresses of the hotels and venues!

I created a MAP with the addresses of the hotels and the venues for our party weekend. Also the times of the events and activities are included there!

Also,, everybody will be getting an e-mail with all the information regarding to locations, times and activities booked, just in case...

Less than a week to go!

dragonfirebcn Oct 24, 2009 2:33 pm

Sorry for the typo!

In the welcome pack email check in date in the Andorra Park Hotel shows as 10/31 instead of 10/30, which is the date everybody (except KevininRI) is checking in!

My apologies for the mistake!

That happens to me far more often than you'd think! :p However, although H and 2 will be along, it 'should' be 3 who's in control! (But what's that old proverb about the "best laid plans?")
