can't wait for boodoo- now question on churches

I am very much looking forward to BooDoo. :) I'm sad hubby couldn't get the time off to go with me, but bringing a friend along instead and I'm sure we will have a great time with the group and all the activities.

My guest is Roman Catholic and I myself am Methodist. Does anyone have information on churches, both Catholic [for her] and protestant [for me- I grew up Catholic and would attend mass if that is all that is available but would prefer a protestant church] that are within walking distance of the hotel where everyone is staying? It's ok if the services are not in English, but we are just hoping not to miss a Sunday service if we can help it. Also, if anyone else wants to tag along to church Sunday morning before the spa event, you'd be welcome to come with us of course. ^

Thanks! Jenni

request: lounge access at mad 8am-11am Fri 10/30

2nd post to this thread tonight, but i just thought of something else.

My guest and i get into madrid @7:40am and our outgoing flight to BCN isn't until 11:45am. I just found out I don't get to use the Skyteam lounges unless I'm actually flying on a skyteam carrier, so I'm hoping some very very very loving and kind FT member heading to BooDoo might be willing to guest me and my guest in for a few hours so we have a place to decompress after the Iberia flight in coach. If you can do this (paging JFEZE maybe?) can you please PM me or reply on facebook?

Also, we still want to get on a bus to Andorra with others if there is room. I am assuming from all I've read here we can just purchase tickets when get get to BCN- if this is not correct or if there is some benefit to purchasing ahead of time please PM me and let me know so. What bus times [for those on the bus] are everyone taking?

Thanks again for all your help. :) Much appreciated!

~Jenni

I didn't realize D-Boy was a church :D I do know he's (Bombay) Sapphire status there. ;)

I'm pretty sure if the churches knew we were coming they'd bar us at the border, what with all the gay-marrying, boozing, and general debauchery.

Andorra happens to have a lot of churches as it is the other little country in which the chief of state happens to be part of the catholic ierarchy (a bishop, actually)...so a quick request to the hotel concierge will lead you in the direction of the closest church available. Catholic though. Only reported a 0,2% of protestants there (which will mean around 100 people in total), so I don't think you'll find a protestant church. The service will be definitely in Catalan.

As for convincing BooDooers to do sunday early morning church after the big saturday night out and about...complicated...sleeping will be more recommendable for the hangovers:D

jenniparks - if you do a google search on andorra churches - you will find information on them. There are also other links available via google I found with service times for various churches in Andorra. Enjoy your visit.

Remember - Google is your friend

FWIW, this might not be too much of a church-goin' crowd. ;) The catholic church's condemnation of some of our "lifestyles" might have something to do with it.

But let's not get into all that, your hosts have spent too much time and planned such a fun weekend that it would be a shame to bring it down with "church talk" and the acrimony that often comes with it. I encourage folks to keep their religion and politics at home.

Let's keep religion, politics, and detailed explanations on how to moderate a well renowned US based airline forum at home! :D
