Heading up to ANC
 

Hi All!

I'm heading up to ANC on June 4th 2009 and would be interested in meeting any FT members up there at one of the brewpubs.

Itinerary please. When will you be in town?

OAK-SEA Flt #341 6/4/09 arrive 7:30pm but may switch to earlier flight if people want to meet up.
SEA-ANC Flt #105 6/4/09
ANC-SEA Flt #86 6/9/09
SEA-OAK Flt # 354 6/9/09

Heading up for a little R&R and fishing near Homer. Would love to meet up with anyone in the ANC area the night of the 4th or possibly the night of the 8th. I seem to remember a brewpub up there with a nice patio.

Not sure of my schedule yet... (will know I hope tomorrow when I go back to work :p) but food is always a good thing ^ :D

Will be up in ANC soon. Weather reports it will be raining. I hope to bring the good weather karma up to Alaska later this week. How much does a shuttle or taxi run from the airport to downtown(Sheraton)?

What time do you get in? It depends on when certain FT'ers are working and how much cheerwine is brought up :p (Note: I personally have limitations later on in the week - usually am off MTW... but depending on how late it could work :p)

The Bus does run every hour or two to Downtown... but then there'd be a walk/bus to the hotel...

Not sure what Taxi's run us in ANC... (nor shuttles)

And I hope the weather clears soon... I need to work on my base tan for KOA :o :p

I get in around 7:36pm flt #105 from SEA. I will probably take a taxi to my hotel unless I change my mind and decide to get a rental car at the airport. I figure I should be at the Snowgoose by 9:30pm at the latest since I plan on checking in at the Sheraton and dropping off my bags in the room. IIRC from my trip up there in 2007, it stays light out till almost midnight. Hopefully the bars don't close early.

It would be nice to meet some FTalkers up there but understand if people have prior committments.

Thursday June 4th AKA Tomorrow! Totally excited about flying up to Alaska again. Shorter trip but also less money. First round at the SnowGoose is on me!

I'll be at the hockey game, GO ACES!!! but could stop by on my way home. How would I know you if I make it?

Just a bump and a reminder to the Community Buzzards out there that this thread exists. If you're passing through ANC, make sure to post that you're coming!

It saddens me to see people post that they were in Alaska and we didn't know about it! If you come, we'll make sure to show you a good time! :)

I will be flying through ANC sometime in the next week to 10 days, once I firm up my schedule I will let you all know!

I'll be in town between the 8th and 13th (early), but working the days between... (Gotta pay for my trips somehow :p)
