The suit would have kept you safe from the stupidity of the line in front of you. As far as "customizing" the book, it wouldn't have much affect to customize until after it is signed....I understand a big "X" is the sign of authenticity.

and Richards Wild Irish Rose

While I'm unsure of the specific vintage, I hope you'll find these pleasing to your palate... ;)

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here, while I realize that naked snowmachining, food contests involving who can eat the most US Airways fiesta snack mix, and the first annual Turnagain Arm polar bear swim will be great fun, "KILLER" might set some peoples' expectations too high... :p

Wow!

That would be interesting :p

Ice Fishing is always a good ole' standby... that and a huge bonfire :D

We'll have to try it while you are trying to not blow your hand off.

WOW, it's been quiet around here the last day or so....

Haven't heard anything about Up In The Air opening here. Fandango still lists no showtimes.

Perhaps we'll have to wait until the final December 25th release date... :(

General release is Dec. 11. Maybe next weekend. I'm sure there will be some FT reviews by then.

Actually, general release is 12/25. 12/11 is just "additional theaters," which it doesn't (as of yet, anyway) look like we qualify for despite being in the middle of the Anchorage International Film Festival!

So, who's up for a Christmas Day showing DO?

And start signing up for our New Years' Eve Frozen Fireworks Festival at Bob's house! :D

(More info on the Spring Break Do II coming soon...)

I heard Palmer is going to allow fireworks to be launched during NYE

But the wine did survive the flight ^

Might be interesting- and yes, there are specific scenes that only FF'ers will LOL @ so it helps to have a group of us together so we're not solo :o

Amusing how the reviewer in the Wall Street Journal who liked the movie a lot thought that it would have been more realistic to leave the character's mileage accumulation goal at one million as it was in the book instead of having it changed to ten.

He certainly has not spent any time around here where many of the business travelers have more than a million that they have not had time to use and ten million is talked about as a not unrealistic (although neither practical nor intelligent) amount to have laying around.

Saw the movie on Saturday in SF as part of a mini-DO and really enjoyed it. They could have gone down the "romantic-comedy" route and thankfully didn't. It is more a drama with some great one-liners thrown in. Good ending.

As for the FF aspect, I think they got it right for the most part. They had good advice (presumably from Randy P.) and made the program about AA where every mile through any means counts for lifetime status. So 10 million is acutally a pretty realistic goal, as opposed to AS where 10 million lifetime is probably a fantasy. Even a million on AS is quite an achievement.

Nix on Christmas, I'll be way too busy with family and friends.

As far as NYE, since it's at my place, I guess I'd better sign up ;)
