I'm heading out on Thurs night / Fri morning on a redeye leaving ANC around 12:30am. So I'm up for something tonight or Thurs evening (particularly some Aussie wine ;) ), but I won't be around for the weekend.

What did you have in mind? I have to assume that some good Aussie wine made it home with him.
Unfortunately, no Aussie wine made it back with me. Besides, I knew that Bob only appreciates Washington wines, so no sense wasting money on Aussie ones... :p I'm up for whatever, whenever, as long as it fits in my schedule! |

I went there last Monday, but I'd be happy to go again on Thurs night. I should be done at work by between 5 and 6pm.

That- and Club Paris is a good place for a steak or a gourmet burger :D |

 is right! Blech!
The Barossa Valley shiraz served on BA in F on my return was quite tasty, though...but unlike on the flight out, where my AVOD screen was malfunctioning, I couldn't find any reason for BA to comp me with a bottle of it (ozstamps, Margo and Pooch and I shared a nice Chateau Talbot because of that :D). (I'm not haughty enough to actually ask for a bottle of wine, honest...I simply told the FA that the screen was randomly powering off so he could write it up for maintenance, and suddenly the CSD shows up with a bottle...who would I be to refuse? :D) |

jackal, are you back to work already? Don't you know you're supposed to pad long, international trips a day or two for recovery? :D |

When one can afford it, yes. In this case, I can't (nevermind that I've used up all vacation good-will from my employer...and they really needed me back!). Besides, I need some spending money for Paris, oui? ;)

Since you're well rested now... can we get an update to the original posting in this thread... a lot has happened while you were out of the country and it seems you've blatantly disregarded the housekeeping you committed to by starting such a thread. :p
So this is just a friendly reminder to update the first post - thanks jackal :D :D:D:D:D:D That's it. You're barred from any participation in ANC dos... :p:D Lemme get some sleep and I'll work on it, er, when I can...Lord knows we need a clear directory in the first post, since this thread is becoming quite congested with useless post-padding! :D |
