I signed up for the tournament (Wed) last weekend with no problems. I get busy at work, and want to make sure that I don't miss the 6pm start time (PT).

If we did that for tonights version, it would be porn. Lot's of sucking (out) going on. :)

Looks like Jaimito Cartero wins again....

Here's a blow-by-blow of the hands that knocked me out. I put up a fight though, coming back from ~250 chips & 11th place to take 3rd when Jaimito sucked out on me. I gave Quiet Lion a good beat, taking all but 11 of his chips. I was on the button the next hand with KdKs, putting Quiet Lion all in. I saw a shirt in my future. I bet out about 3x the pot and Jaimito called. When the flop came AsKc4c I jumped outa my seat. The shirt was MINE! I bet out enough to put Jaimito all in and told him he'd better just 'cuz I had pocket 4's... which triggered his call with Jc2(?)c.

You guessed it. He managed to draw two running clubs to get the Jack-high flush and bust my trip kings, so no shirt for me this week.

SeaMonkee knocked me out a coupla hands later when she drew two runners to complete her straight, busting my paired Ace from the flop.

Ah well, fun tourney anyway!

I think you might have the "big" hand detailed a little wrong. I'm 99% sure that I had a pair of Kings on the flop. I thought I had a K-2 or K-3 or something.

This was one of the best FT tourneys I can remember. Actually all of them are really good, but the number of ups and downs was just incredible. No one gives up in these games! I'm pretty sure it's pride more than the money. Heck, I'd knock out QL just for the fun of it, but now I'll get another shirt. Too bad they don't have jumbo sized shirts that would actually fit me.

At one point I was down to 500 or so chips, and somehow managed to come back into contention. SeaMonkee was killing me for awhile head to head. I had 5k of chips or so and thought I had blown another big lead. That girl can bluff, I tell you! Had me sweating, big time.

That's the thing I dislike most about Full Tilt. Hard to get your money in quickly, for free. I'd play more, but all their options take a few days one you set it up, and some of the instant ones charge a 5 or 8% vig. No fun.

Are you sure you had a pair of kings? I could've sworn you had a Jack-high flush, but maybe the jack fell on the turn and it was your 2 that gave you the flush... I didn't have my hand history set to record, so I'll never know for sure. :D

I'll second that; it was very much like playing in a home game -- lots of fun with people I'd already gotten to know a bit from FT.

I transferred money from PartyPoker to Neteller and from there over to FTP. You can set up the Neteller account very quickly (go online, then verify with a phone call to their security dept) and if you can fund it from another merchant site they'll let you transfer those funds elsewhere before you've verified your B&M bank account. I didn't get around to verifying my regular bank account until today (the micro deposit from Friday finally posted today), but was able to transfer the money on Monday (I think) via Neteller from PP.
I initially did the "InstaCash" and found out they charge 8.9%, so had them reverse that when I verified the account with security. Ain't no way I'm paying 9% vig to set up yet another online bank account. :D

I started to set up Neteller, but then got my friend to transfer some to me. When I was in Brazil, I tried to activate the Neteller, but I guess a few weeks had gone by, and they said the account was closed, or something.

I got ahold of the tournament hand history and here's what happened. The blinds were 120/240 + $25 ante:

I had Js 5s when Quiet Lion went all in with Jc 9d on a board of 4s 9s 7h. I called (on a flush draw) and the cards fell 6c, 3d (runner-runner) giving me a 7-high straight and reducing QL to 11 chips.

The next hand I had Kd Ks, QL had Js Ad, and JC had 2c Kh. I raised to 806 pre-flop and JC called from the BB (566 more). The flolp came As Kc 4c, giving me trip kings. I led out with 1,698 and after a bit, JC re-raised all-in to 6,489 and I immediately called the 4,791 additional. The cards fell 8c, 5c (runner-runner) to go with JC's 2c for a King-high flush, which crippled me. A few hands later this came up:

SM called the BB and I checked to see the flop with 2c 9d. The flop came 5s 9s Th and SM bet out 240. I went over the top with my remaining stack (1,645) with my 9's and SM showed Js 2s (flush draw). The cards fell Kh, Qc (runner-runner) giving SM a King-high straight and knocking me out of the tournament.

That's where my hand history ends...Pretty exciting bubble, if you ask me -- we were all running marathons catching double-runners after the flop to knock each other out! :D

Did someone else email you the hands? I just noticed that you can record the hands on your computer, and turned the function on. If you hadn't said you had 4's, I probably would have folded. :)

I would not have gone all in on a longshot flush draw. A pair of kings aren't bad, unless you're going against a set.

I also figured that QL would probably go out, so I had a good chance of getting third.

I still remember when SeaMonkee cracked my aces with her K-J. Those always hurt.

Yeah, FTP emailed me my hand history. When I said I had 4's, I wanted you to call. I just didn't want you to draw out on me! :rolleyes:

Ok, I play Omaha, but what is Omaha 8-or-better? Same thing for Eight-or-better Stud? thx tls

also known as "hi/lo" -- the pot is split between the highest hand and the lowest hand. For the low, the highest card in your hand has to be 8 or lower (so if the board has less than 3 cards that are 8 or lower, there is no lo split in Omaha), and straights & flushes don't count against you. The best low hand you can have is A-2-3-4-5. The hands are ranked based on the highest card in the low; so A-2-3-4-7 is better than A-2-3-4-8.

Logging into neteller from a country other than your home automatically suspends the account. You can call them ahead of time to prevent that.

Tuesday Night HORSE Tournament
 

I have set up a recurring HORSE tournament on FullTilt for Tuesday nights at 8:15 ET. It is $10+$1 and listed under the private tournament tab with the tournament name "WannaBePros" and the password is "flamingo". I thought it was a good idea to keep a separate name and password from the Wednesday tourney to prevent confusion. As a reminder, HORSE is a combination tournament of Hold'em, Omaha (hi/lo), Razz, 7-Card Stud, and 7-Card Stud (hi/lo), where the format changes every ten minutes. To read up on any of these games, you can go to the FullTilt website.
