Peteflys, Ms. Peteflys, and myself actually did exactly that for SIN 2005, upgraded to J thru NRT. We took a pitstop in NRT for showers, food, hopping on the internet, and so on at the AAdmirals Club and Cathay's lounge next door. The service in Y on the JL codeshare was absolutely outstanding. The F/A's were great. They even made sure that we had several empty rows for the taking (sleeping), and it didnt' work out that bad at all. The fares didn't fall into "reasonable" range until late fall, 'tho.
And, I think UMGuy actually did use an award for a biz. seat on the JL codeshare. One (perhaps needlessly stated here) perk of the revenue option is that with Plat/EXP status bonuses, Asia promo's AA was running, a little creative routing in the US, it made for one HUGE shot to the AAdvantage account.

The website is now up and running for the SIN RUN 2006! I have amended the first post in this thread to show the link and it is also in my signature file on all my posts.

Quicklink to the website is: http://home.inter.net/mjm/sinrun06.html

When you have a free minute, check to see if I have gotten it right and send your flight/hotel/etc. details when you have them and if you want them posted on the itineraries page.

A few of you often travel with your better half and in the original posts I tried to identify those correctly, but there are some people that I would like to confirm as being either on their own for the trip or traveling as a couple so I can ensure accuracy on the website listing for you.

Specifically:

PETEFLYS
jan_az
auh2o
unagi1

Looking forward to seeing you all again in SIN,

Mike

Lightbulb Night Safari Outing

Considering the "success" and level of interest in last year's Night Safari outing, would it be possible (and not too much trouble) to add that to the website as one of the weekend activities people can sign up for? Meeting at the Sheraton Lobby and taxi-ing over seemed to work o.k.
I'd be up for doing it again..it was blast last year.

Paging Wireless and Airoli to the Springey Horses, please....

Give me 24 hours and it shall be done sir

And while I am doing the editing I shall put you on the confirmed list too.

Thanks for spearheading that extra outing. It really is one of the better things to do in SIN.

Back at you shortly,

Mike

We now have the Night Safari listed as an official event for the SIN Run 2006. Links to the details are available at the bottom of all pages (at the top of the itineraries page though).

skye1, I also have you shown on the confirmed list now. Welcome back aboard sir!

***A question was asked of me via e-mail as to how to get your flight and hotels to be shown on the website. Actually you cannot enter them directly there, but rather you should e-mail or PM me those details and I will update the webpage immediately. I will then post to this thread when someone's details or status has been amended.

Talk to you soon,

Mike

Just had a look at the dates.

I should be in for Friday night, half of saturday night only though

have to be in GVA Monday the 16th, if past years have been any indication of my department's regular start of year meeting. Brrrrrr! Whose idea was it to put Winter in January anyway?

Talking Count me in...

You guys are fast!!!

I should still be in Singapore during this time, so count me in. I have also made enquiries at the New Asia Bar and they will allow me to bring 70 guests up there provided I inform them a month in advance.

Well, half way there....

When we were up there last month and we came up with the idea of going there for this get together I thought they said 100 ?. Or is that the capacity and one party maximum is 70 ?

Good work all the same. I can just imagine what it will be like up there with 70 FT'ers ^
