One last reminder before tomorrow night's dinner at Fogo de Chao at 7pm. Rain or shine, a whole bunch o' meat (and maybe a few vegetables, and of course plenty of beverages) is going to be consumed.

It's never too late to join us (well, okay, that's not true... after about 10pm tomorrow, it'll be too late to join us), so speak up and show up!

I'm back down into maybe territory. We had a shipment that was due yesterday morning that just came today so I'm out in the warehouse unloading freight in the humidity.

Unless I get out of here in time to take a shower (which is looking unlikely), I will be kind enough not to grace you with my sweaty presence. ;-)

I won't be able to meet everyone this evening after all. The flights out of Tulsa got cancelled this afternoon and evening, something about wind in Dallas. Imagine that! Hope to meet you soon.

Well it looks like it may be just four of us, but I'm sure we'll find a way to eat and drink enough to make up for y'all.

And to think, I even had a particular bottle of wine with techgirl's name on it! :p

See, I defied odds and DID make it last night (I was lucky that I was picking the other car up from the body shop and the body shop was right around the corner... otherwise I know I wouldn't have gotten out of the office on time).

Per discussion last night, next month we'll hit Hectors on Henderson on Wednesday, April 11. I'll wait for consensus from the group on a time (particularly if our western affiliates can make it over on a school night). Blythe has just posted her spring menu (although its not on the website yet, I've seen a few announcements on it via email) and its got some yummy stuff on there - some of which I tried during testing, some that I didn't.

I'll start an attendee list for that one as soon as we get a few names. :)

Sadly, I'll be in CMH that week and will have to take a rain check until the May gathering.

I'm officially not a DFW-er anymore as new people are living in what used to be my house....and although I'm trying to plan trips back to DFW for work and for fun, I'll be halfway to Toronto when y'alll get together in April.

However, I'm toying with a trip back to DFW in May around Memorial Day (when friends in Frisco will be having a big pool party) so if the May gathering coincides with that weekend, I may be able to join in...

Okay, well, I'm a dunce.

I'm flying to Pittsburgh now on Wednesday and will miss the get together I put together. (One of those "business calls" things....)

Right now it looks like it was just swag and me RSVPed...

... so does anyone want to schedule for an alternate date? Right now Saturday, April 21 looks the best for me (yeah, I know that flops it back to a weekend).

I'd completely forgotten about Wednesday, so yeah, rescheduling probably makes sense. The 21st should work for me -- it's the last day before I start the two week trip from hell, but what the heck, why not spend the day with friends before initiating torture? :)

I don't mind skipping Wednesday, I'm busy at work, fighting a cold, and have to finish my taxes.

I'm a maybe for the 21st, thinking I may need to go see Aretha Franklin that night. Or Delbert over at the FW Fest.
