That was exactly what I was thinking... after book club and before Desperate Housewives!

So Blue Fish at 5:30 good for everyone?

Have another good one! :)

Cool... you guys won't have to deal with the inevitable "suitcase explosion" as I unpack from Hong Kong/Sydney and repack for the next ten day jaunt.

Hopefully Cindie will join us for sushi too now that she has met some of the DFW FT crowd.

Okay... so for 5:30 pm at Bluefish, we have:

techgirl
Aggie Girl
studley
boilermaker
Monica
(Cindie - ?)

boilermaker Oct 21, 2005 8:04 am

Is this the place?

techgirl Oct 21, 2005 11:01 am

Yep, that's it!

studley Oct 22, 2005 5:14 am

I'll bring my camera, so y'all can see the pictures I took - a few of them even got me (gently) fussed at in a very famous museum! ;)

It was great seeing the group this evening at Blue Fish. I'm not a sushi connoisseur, so take it with a grain of powdered wasabi when I say that I thoroughly enjoyed the food and will probably return there again sometime. :)

As I understand it, the wherewithal for a November gathering now rests on my broad, rippling shoulders (and also those of our esteemed Boilermaker-san). By way of narrowing down a date for said possible gathering, I would like to propose a Tuesday or Wednesday evening, in an effort to allow those with busy weekends to participate. I haven't decided on a place yet, as that is likely to be driven by the people that are ultimately able to attend. Tentatively, though, I think meeting up in Arlington might be a good way to entice some Fort Worthians to come meet us.

What say ye?

Oh, and the obligatory list:
-------------------------
Aggie Girl
boilermaker
bpauker
Studley (most likely)
techgirl

bpauker, I will make sure I am in town :D

Arlington or Grapevine may be good places. We could always do the Kitchen Table at Buca de Beppo in Southlake (although limited seating, I think seven folks).

techgirl Oct 24, 2005 7:50 pm

Right now, my calendar looks clear for Tues Nov 22 (Thanksgiving week) or Tues/Wed Nov 29/30. Beyond that, I'm iffy although might be back from flights in time on the 9th (Wed) or 16th (also a Wed).

Like Buca de Beppo.....

PETEFLYS Oct 24, 2005 8:42 pm

I realize I am not in the Arlington area and I have not attended any functions in awhile but I would be more then happy to host a monthly event. I will donate all revenue from the meeting to the FT do in April.
Please let me know if there is any interest if not in November maybe in the near future.

Pete... DFW FT Holiday dinner in December?

Aggie Girl Oct 24, 2005 9:07 pm

I'm open most Tues & Weds thru the holidays. Driving in from Denton, I realize there will be a drive...and consequently will drive pretty much anywhere... :)
