While I have lived in the Dallas area for a while now, I haven't really socialized much with the FT crowd. You wouldn't mind a couple of new faces would you? I might try and talk my wife into coming out with me to try a good steak dinner. Ponder might be a bit of a drive, but seeing as we have never met any of you, it would be worth it.

Count me in for Ponder on the 17th. It's close to home, and it'll be my first official DFW event as a Texan. :)

A taxi to Ponder will run you $600-700, probably, and while I can't speak for the others, I can tell you that at least according to every woman I've ever dated, no amount of drinking makes me interesting.

I'm going to suggest carpooling for this event, due to the location. I'll put more info in post #743. We'd love to see you if you can make it out there!

Maybe studley can get a bus? :D

If anyone is still standing after that, we'll probably be at the Flying Saucer after the game... of course, that definitely calls for a designated driver. :cool:

I'm in. It's only 35.2 miles from 114/Mac Arthur. Hopefully there won't be any traffic. ;)

If anyone wants a lift from that point, I have three extra seats in my fuel-efficient Jetta. I'll spring for the gas, but I get to select the music. In addition, I promise to aspire towards sobriety. :D

Otherwise, I will arrive as a party of one, so adjust the reservation accordingly. That is unless I can round up some future flight attendants in that 35.2 mile stretch. :p

As luck would have it (mine not yours), I have Rangers tickets the 16th and 18th. It's obvious that God wants me in Ponder on Saturday the 17th. God's probably in the minority. In fact, anyone else that wants me there probably hasn't met me yet. Anyway... I look forward to seeing all of you Saturday.

Mavs play Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday so it looks like David Stern wants me in Ponder as well.

I saw this place on Bobby Flay's show the other evening (no, I don't normally watch the food network, I was bored ;) ). The chicken fried steak looked really damn good.

If you want to get a baked potato, you will need to call ahead (940-479-2221). Also, this place is BYOB. I'm bringing a cooler with Shiner, but if others would like to bring additional coolers/beer/miscellaneous, that'd be great. What's a gathering without alcohol, right? See you all there!
