I think, as the subject is of more general interest, that it belongs on the Women Travelers forum. In fact, maybe there should be a general thread there for posting tips and locations of clean (women's) restrooms worldwide!

I had the pleasure of meeting him in Herzlia last year and certainly hope he can work it out to be with us.

Dovster - thanks for the introduction :)

I should know by Monday if I can come or not.

Apirchik, I don't want to put any undue pressure on you but at this very minute your home and office are being hordes of miluim (Israeli Army Reserves) officials.

Should you decide not to come to the Venice Meet, they are under strict orders to call you up for six months of reserve duty, to be spent on top of the Hermon Mountain for the entire winter.

Dovster, would you please change the list to the following:

ralfkrippner + wife / as definites!

We will be staying at the Westin Europa + Regina but will probably not attend all program points, possibly just the walking tour and dinner on saturday...

Not yet clear how we go to VCE, Best option is LH ex FRA but fares are high for the flights we want. So probably a last-minute award.

Ralf, it will be my incredible pleasure to do so.

I look forward to meeting both of you!

We also look forward to meeting you ralfkrippner.

We looked for decent prices for months, but no matter what we tried, the FRA/VCE segment added an additional $1,000.00 or so each to each of our tickets. We finally gave up and just got award tickets for that leg. They will probably make us check our bags ex-VCE, but it really isn't that much of a hassle to reclaim them in FRA and take them onboard on the Trans-Atlantic flight.

Both the agent and I thought it odd that the tickets were so expensive when there were award tickets available. Go figure.

Wherever you post them, I am going to print off the list and laminate it! This is great news. Now we can actually drink water (or perhaps, and adult beverage or two) without fear. ^

Indeed that is odd. And that despite the fact that routes to Venice have quite some competition from the low fare airlines. For the dates I can get Ryanair flight for 10 and 29 euros. Just that the schedule is not convenient to me.

I will try to get cheaper tickets two weeks befor the event. The flights don't seem to be full. And if not I will book a cheap last minute award on LH. There is some risk in it - maybe I have to fly AZ if LH sells some more seats... ;)

Looking forward to meet this great bunch of people that has registered!

I don't want any of you people to run into problems at Italian Immigration so please remember that they closely monitor the TalkBoard elections (and have hacked into FlyerTalk's database). If someone tries to enter the country without having voted for me they will be turned away.

To be certain this does not happen to you, make certain to vote for me tomorrow...and the day after that...and the day after that...and....

(Does anybody now doubt that I grew up in New York City during the days that Tammany Hall ran the place?)

Ah! So this would be the famous "Vote early, vote often" tactic ;)

Yes, a tried and proven strategy.

------------------------------------------------------------

Don't forget -- I am the only candidate for TalkBoard who has been approved by the League of Women Voters. Of course, what they approved about me had nothing to do with the election.

Don't worry Dovster , I live in Florida, and I know how to make a vote count ;)

obscure2k Oct 20, 2004 6:35 pm

Although, I feel fully prepared to post the guided tour of the clean and lovely ladies rooms of VCE on the Women's Forum, I am awaiting an e-mail from Marco Musco's fiancee, the lovely Elena from Verona. I suspect that she is very well informed.. As for the men: please be advised that pay toilets in VCE are ubiquitous. The men just have to make sure they have some small change available ;)

Florida's problem:

Knowing how to make a vote count is one thing -- knowing how to count a vote is another.

Hey no wonder we scored such a low rate at the Al Mori!!
I can see it now:

Cholula on first night at the Al Mori: "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" ( Grappa-induced sleep)
Mrs. Cholula: "Hey, Cholula, wake up. I need to use the bathroom and there's some kind of coin device on the door!!"
Cholula: "O2K mentioned that they have pay toilets here in VCE. But I didn't know she meant in the rooms!!"
Mrs. Cholula: "Well, what am I supposed to do??"
Cholula: " You've got three choices. Either hold it, kick the door down or knock on Dovster's door and see if he can change a 100 Euro note."
